OK, so we've got this from The International Forecaster a couple days ago:

"The following information may be the most important we have ever published. One of our Intel sources, highly placed in banking circles, tells us that on 1/1/10 all banks that have received TARP funds have been informed by the Federal Reserve that they must further restrict any commercial lending. Loans have to be 75% collateralized, 50% of which has to be in cash, which is a compensating balance.

The Fed has to do one of two things: They either have to pull $1.5 trillion out of the system by June, which would collapse the economy, or face hyperinflation. This is why the Fed has instructed banks to inform them when and how much of the TARP funds they can return. At best they can expect $300 to $400 billion plus the $200 billion the Fed already has in hand."

And now we've got the post below. Are the two tied together? Is this further confirmation of the info that Bob Chapman published? Is the FED so concerned about inflation that they are going to tighten credit to stop any real growth and thus the threat of hyper inflation? Is the state of the economy so precarious that the FED believeS it will have to manage every last little thing? We know how incompetent government is when it comes to managing the economy or anything else for that matter. And then the news this morning, if it's true, that more troops are being transferred back to America in anticipation of civil unrest due to bank failures. We're going to have to keep our eyes and ears open.

As has already been widely noted, the minutes of the most recent FOMC meeting reiterated the Fed’s eagerness to reverse, not extend, policy:

"Overall, many participants viewed the risks to their inflation outlooks over the next few quarters as being roughly balanced. Some saw the risks as tilted to the downside in the near term, reflecting the quite elevated level of economic slack and the possibility that inflation expectations could begin to decline in response to the low level of actual inflation. But others felt that risks were tilted to the upside over a longer horizon, because of the possibility that inflation expectations could rise as a result of the public’s concerns about extraordinary monetary policy stimulus and large federal budget deficits. Moreover, these participants noted that banks might seek to reduce appreciably their excess reserves as the economy improves by purchasing securities or by easing credit standards and expanding their lending substantially. Such a development, if not offset by Federal Reserve actions, could give additional impetus to spending and, potentially, to actual and expected inflation. To keep inflation expectations anchored, all participants agreed that it was important for policy to be responsive to changes in the economic outlook and for the Federal Reserve to continue to clearly communicate its ability and intent to begin withdrawing monetary policy accommodation at the appropriate time and pace.

Read that carefully and realize this: An apparently not insignificant portion of the FOMC believes that there is a terrible risk that banks loosen their credit standards and increase lending at a time when, even if the economy posts expected gain, unemployment remains at unacceptably high levels. Silly me, I thought increased lending was the whole point of the exercise to lower interest and expand the balance sheet. That whole credit channel thing. If not to expand lending during a credit crunch, then what else are they expecting?"

There is a lot of stuff in this article that needs to be verified. That being said, it's interesting that the possibility of civil war is mentioned in regard to the implosion of the nations banking system. Is there some connection between this and the information and timing supplied by Bob Chapman at The International Forecaster and posted here over the last couple days? I don't know but I always look for connections in the news and this sure seems to be one.

This article does play up the race angle way too much. This may indicate such a fundamental misunderstanding of modern America that it calls into question every other underlying assumption. If we do collapse, the violence and destruction will cut across all racial and social boundaries. This is not to say racism does not exist, just that it is not what will drive any sort of revolt.

"Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command’s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to “begin immediately” increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter.

According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”.

And to Obama’s “last ditch gambit”, these reports continue, he is to announce in a nationwide address to his people this coming week that he is going to expand the level of US Military Forces in Afghanistan by tens of thousands of troops, while at the same time using the deployment of these soldiers as a “cover” for returning to the United States over 200,000 additional American soldiers from the over 800 bases in over 39 countries they have stationed around the Globe bringing the level of these forces in America to over 1 million, a number the US Military believes will be able to contain the “explosion of violence” expected to roil these peoples when they learn their economy has been bankrupted...

...To the fears of Obama over the United States erupting into civil war once the full extent of the rape and pillaging of these peoples by their banks and government becomes known to them, grim evidence now shows the likelihood of this occurring much sooner than later, especially in new poll figures showing that Obama’s approval rating among white Americans has now fallen to 39%. A number made more significant when one realizes that the white population of the United States comprises 74% of their estimated 398 million citizens, or put more ominously in these reports as “over 220 million American people armed to the teeth and ready to explode”...

..What remains to be seen, and these reports do not speculate upon, is if the citizen-soldiers of the United States will fire upon and kill their fellow countrymen during the coming conflict, but if history is to be our guide clearly shows this will be the case as the once great American Nation continues its headlong plunge into the abyss of history. May God have mercy upon all of them."

This article goes with the video posted yesterday. Chapman gives dates that will allow us to see if his source is correct. We only have a little over a month to wait to see if what he says is accurate with the commercial lending rules set to take place on 1/1/10. Like I said below, this goes into "the back of the mind files" as something to watch. This economy can't keep lurching along as it is, running on subsidy and propaganda; something has to give.

At best they can expect $300 to $400 billion plus the $200 billion the Fed already has in hand.

We believe the Fed will opt for letting the system run into hyperinflation. All signs tell us they cannot risk allowing the undertow of deflation to take over the economy. The system cannot stand such a withdrawal of funds. They also must depend on assistance from Congress in supplying a second stimulus plan. That would probably be $400 to $800 billion. A lack of such funding would send the economy and the stock market into a tailspin. Even with such funding the economy cannot expect any growth to speak of and at best a sideways movement for perhaps a year."

So, I don't know what to make of the information on this video. Bob Chapman isn't a nut (here's his website:The International Forecaster). I follow his blog and he has been fairly accurate in what he says is going to happen. The things that he describes on the video seem logical but then I'm just a carpenter. I guess that I can file this under "something to keep in the back of my mind". If things start to play out as described at least I'll have some understanding of what is going on.

If you believe as I do that the explanation for all of the craziness around us lies not on this earth but in spiritual reality you may find this to be an interesting article. Like all opinions, it should be read with a discerning eye.

Based on what I have learned over the last ten years or so, I think the author's opinions are substantially correct.

"By the latter half of the 19th century, say at the time of the great Chicago Columbian Exposition of 1893, many visionaries saw mankind poised to enter a Golden Age of peace, prosperity, innovation, and progress. The reason, of course, was the Industrial Revolution, especially the relatively recent harnessing of electricity and what that could mean in terms of bringing the benefits of science and technology to bear on raising standards of living and improving the health, longevity, and culture of the masses. Most promising was the possibility that all the new ways of harnessing the hidden forces of nature could allow everyone the leisure to enjoy life, not just the privileged few.

We know that it did not work out that way. Along with skyscrapers, the telephone, airplanes, and automobiles came the horrors of the 20th century, with its wars, revolutions, genocides, and pestilences. There also came the exploitation of the earth and its resources, especially petroleum, for the enrichment of wealthy minorities in the most heavily-armed nations and the development of arsenals of weapons eventually capable of wiping all life off the planet.

Today we seem to be in a late stage of these tragedies, with the U.S. military poised to complete the armed conquest of the earth through a continuous series of assaults against the nations of the Middle East followed by even bigger targets."

If the one world government, progressive appeasers that are in control of our government allow this to go forward all American soldiers should walk away from their posts. There is no reason any American would or should volunteer to defend a system that will offer them up on the altar of globalism. This should cause all true Americans to do whatever is necessary to take control of our country back if this insanity goes forward. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR COUNTRY??!!

"Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed "great regret" in August that the U.S. is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has fueled speculation that the Obama administration may reverse another Bush policy and sign up for what could lead to the trial of Americans for war crimes in The Hague.

The ICC's chief prosecutor, though, has no intention of waiting for Washington to submit to the court's authority. Luis Moreno Ocampo says he already has jurisdiction—at least with respect to Afghanistan.

Because Kabul in 2003 ratified the Rome Statute—the ICC's founding treaty—all soldiers on Afghan territory, even those from nontreaty countries, fall under the ICC's oversight, Mr. Ocampo told me. And the chief prosecutor says he is already conducting a "preliminary examination" into whether NATO troops, including American soldiers, fighting the Taliban may have to be put in the dock.

"We have to check if crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide have been committed in Afghanistan," Mr. Ocampo told me. "There are serious allegations against the Taliban and al Qaeda and serious allegations about warlords, even against some who are connected with members of the government." Taking up his inquiry of Allied soldiers, he added, "there are different reports about problems with bombings and there are also allegations about torture."

The Federal Government handed out all kinds of money to American banks that was supposed to be used to generate economic growth. Instead, they have hoarded it or lent it to foriegn investors in places like Dubai.

"New York-based Citigroup (C, Fortune 500) has the most exposure to default risk at Dubai World, which a J.P. Morgan (JPM, Fortune 500) equity research note estimated at $1.9 billion. Citigroup declined to comment." CNN

Yet we are supposed to believe that somehow the bailouts have created a million jobs. WHERE!!?? In Dubai?

I suppose that the banks will be going back to the trough for more money shortly and the FED will give it to them. After all, "They're just too big to fail."

"U.S. banks are earning money again, but they're writing fewer business loans, threatening a fragile economic recovery.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. reported Tuesday that U.S. bank loans fell by $210.4 billion or 2.8% during the third quarter – the biggest drop since the FDIC started keeping records in 1984. Banks booked $2.8 billion in third-quarter profits, reversing a second-quarter loss of $4.3 billion. "We need to see banks making more loans to their business customers," says FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair. "This is especially true for small businesses..."

"...Until small businesses are able to borrow, we can't have a robust economy, because that's your largest source of jobs," says Richard Posner, a law professor at the University of Chicago and a federal circuit judge. The Small Business Administration has said that small businesses created 64% of new jobs in the past 15 years."

Unemployment is at 17.5% (higher in certain areas and in certain sectors of the job market). The FDIC reports that 552 financial institutions, with combined assets of $345.9 billion, are in trouble. Some will fail. The FDIC deposit insurance fund is at a negative $8.2 billion dollars with $23.3 billion in cash to cover future failures. That's not even 10% of the potential losses if the banks in trouble fail. Deposits are not safe any longer.

Of course, the government can always print more money to cover bank losses and make good on your FDIC insurance coverage. This will further devalue the currency so your losses will be made good with cheaper money, effectively undermining the claim of full coverage of your loss.

Banks are hoarding the money we have given them, refusing to lend to small business and individuals. There is no money to purchase anything but the essentials, thus there is nothing driving expansion. Even if demand was there, how could companies expand and create jobs without the availability of capital to fund the expansion?

I'm just a dumb carpenter. I keep hearing the "experts" say that the recession is over and happy days are right around the corner. Maybe it's just my simple education and lack of faith in the system, but I just don't see it. If there is no money, how can people buy? If no one is buying how can the economy expand? Why is the market going up, up, up?

It looks to me as though all of the "good" economic news is nothing more than hot air blowing up another bubble. I'm thinking that the pimps in the financial service business are trying to pretty up a disease ridden, worn out old whore in the hopes that they can get us to put up our money for one last ride. They want to lure us into some back alley of financial promise, roll us and leave us beaten and bleeding, our money gone and our pockets empty. "Hey sailor, new in town?"

Don't listen to the Siren's song.

"U.S. lenders saw loans fall by the largest amount since the government began tracking such data, suggesting that nervousness among banks continues to hamper economic recovery.

Total loan balances fell by $210.4 billion, or 3%, in the third quarter, the biggest decline since data collection began in 1984, according to a report released Tuesday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The FDIC also said its fund to backstop deposits fell into negative territory for just the second time in its history, pushed down by a wave of bank failures.

The decline in total loans showed how banks remain reluctant to lend, despite the hundreds of billions of dollars the government has spent to prop up ailing banks and jump-start lending. The issue has taken on greater urgency with the U.S. unemployment rate hitting 10.2% in October, even as the economy appears to be stabilizing...

...The FDIC's quarterly banking profile, which analyzed data from 8,099 federally insured banks, reported that 552 financial institutions, with combined assets of $345.9 billion, were on the government's problem list at the end of September, up from 416 with $299.8 billion of assets at the end of June. That means roughly 7% of all U.S. banks are on the list and face a higher probability of failure...

...The FDIC said its deposit-insurance fund, which backstops trillions of dollars in deposit accounts, fell to a negative $8.2 billion at the end of September, an $18.6 billion drop from the end of June. The FDIC said one reason for the decrease was that the agency shifted $21.7 billion from the fund into reserves for bank failures over the next 12 months.

Even though the FDIC's fund balance was negative, it still had reserves of cash. The FDIC said it had $23.3 billion in cash at the end of September to help resolve future bank failures."

Wall Street Journal

"In October, the number of unemployed persons increased by 558,000 to 15.7
million. The unemployment rate rose by 0.4 percentage point to 10.2 percent,
the highest rate since April 1983. Since the start of the recession in
December 2007, the number of unemployed persons has risen by 8.2 million,
and the unemployment rate has grown by 5.3 percentage points."

Dept. of Labor

As experts debate the potential speed of the US recovery, one figure looms large but is often overlooked: nearly 1 in 5 Americans is either out of work or under-employed.

According to the government's broadest measure of unemployment, some 17.5 percent are either without a job entirely or underemployed. The so-called U-6 number is at the highest rate since becoming an official labor statistic in 1994.

The powers of world government are so sure of themselves that they really don't make much effort to hide anymore. It's only in America that they still feel the need to shroud their intent behind "social justice" and the "common good". We may be the last people that still value freedom; though it seems that even here this characteristic is fading fast.

"We are living through exceptionally difficult times: the financial crisis and its dramatic impact on employment and budgets, the climate crisis which threatens our very survival. A period of anxiety, uncertainty and lack of confidence. Yet these problems can be overcome by common efforts in and between our countries. 2009 is also the first year of global governance, with the establishment of the G20 in the middle of the financial crisis. The climate conference in Copenhagen is another step towards the global management of our planet. Our mission is one of hope, supported by acts and action."

I'm thinking that maybe if we applied some Chinese solutions to the quality control problem at GlaxoSmithKline we wouldn't have to worry about tainted vaccine.

Just a thought.

"The pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline says it has advised medical staff in Canada to not use one batch of swine flu vaccine for fear it may trigger life-threatening allergies.

GlaxoSmithKline spokeswoman Gwenan White said Tuesday the company issued the advice after reports that one batch of the swine flu vaccine might have caused more allergic reactions than normal.

She says the affected batch contains 172,000 doses of the vaccine. She declined to say how many doses had been administered before the advice to stop using them was given.

White says GlaxoSmithKline wrote to Canadian healthcare professionals advising them to stop using the batch on Nov. 18. She says a total of 7.5 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed in Canada."

"Two people were executed Tuesday in China for their part in a tainted milk scandal that killed at least six babies and sickened about 300,000 others, state-run media reported.

Zhang Yujun was executed for endangering public safety and Geng Jinping was executed for producing and selling toxic food, the Xinhua news agency said."

It sounds like Rendition is still active. I wonder of this is the change that Obama's supporters were looking for?

Could this have anything to do with his putting off the decision on troop strength in Afghanistan? Is the President trying to have it both ways? He may be attempting to satisfy his progressive base by not committing troops while trying to secretly win the war through the use of covert, private military forces.

It won't work and more soldiers will die. All for good poll numbers and political power. Is this is another case of distraction by the administration? While we are watching the right hand and the troop deployment debacle the left hand is busy playing games under the table. Nothing is as it seems with this bunch.

"At a covert forward operating base run by the US Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in the Pakistani port city of Karachi, members of an elite division of Blackwater are at the center of a secret program in which they plan targeted assassinations of suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda operatives, "snatch and grabs" of high-value targets and other sensitive action inside and outside Pakistan, an investigation by The Nation has found. The Blackwater operatives also assist in gathering intelligence and help run a secret US military drone bombing campaign that runs parallel to the well-documented CIA predator strikes, according to a well-placed source within the US military intelligence apparatus.

The source, who has worked on covert US military programs for years, including in Afghanistan and Pakistan, has direct knowledge of Blackwater's involvement. He spoke to The Nation on condition of anonymity because the program is classified. The source said that the program is so "compartmentalized" that senior figures within the Obama administration and the US military chain of command may not be aware of its existence."

Kind of reminds me of the movie, "Johnny Got His Gun". Maybe this will add something to the debate when doctors want to disconnect someone from their feeding tubes to allow them to starve to death.

I'm assuming that this happened in England, the land of socialized medicine. I wonder why they have covered the cost of keeping him alive? Perhaps the system is not as heartless as we have been led to believe.

"A car crash victim has spoken of the horror he endured for 23 years after he was misdiagnosed as being in a coma when he was conscious the whole time.

Rom Houben, trapped in his paralysed body after a car crash, described his real-life nightmare as he screamed to doctors that he could hear them - but could make no sound.

'I screamed, but there was nothing to hear,' said Mr Houben, now 46, who doctors thought was in a persistent vegatative state.

'I dreamed myself away,' he added, tapping his tale out with the aid of a computer."

Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...

The New York Times is running this story on the front page. The problem is becoming so critical that even the Times, the paper that will distort any news to benefit the Obama administration, is being forced to send out SOS calls. We are facing collapse; regardless of the happy news about job expansion next year and the DOW gaining ground. This collapse is not avoidable. Participation will not be voluntary.

Plan and prepare for the worst. Pray for the best.

"The United States government is financing its more than trillion-dollar-a-year borrowing with i.o.u.’s on terms that seem too good to be true.

But that happy situation, aided by ultralow interest rates, may not last much longer.

Treasury officials now face a trifecta of headaches: a mountain of new debt, a balloon of short-term borrowings that come due in the months ahead, and interest rates that are sure to climb back to normal as soon as the Federal Reserve decides that the emergency has passed.

Even as Treasury officials are racing to lock in today’s low rates by exchanging short-term borrowings for long-term bonds, the government faces a payment shock similar to those that sent legions of overstretched homeowners into default on their mortgages."

If you live in Missouri make sure to contact Sen. McCakill's office and let them know that based on her vote Saturday you intend to make removing her from office your life mission. She is not representing her constituents. She is only interested in her own political advancement.

She needs to know that we have her squarely in the crosshairs. This will be her one and only term in the Senate.

"On August 11th during a town hall meeting in Jefferson County with a packed auditorium of 3000 constituents concerned about health care reform, Senator Claire McCaskill remarked to the crowd, “You don’t trust me?” The overwhelming majority of the crowd shouted, “NO!” The next sentence out of her mouth was, “I don’t know what else I can do.” Well Senator, you can start by killing bad bills by not voting to bring them to the Senate floor.

Saturday, November 21st 2009 Claire McCaskill proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that the town hall crowd’s negative opinion of her was correct. McCaskill voted for cloture on bill HR 3590, bringing Obama-care to the floor for debate. Thanks to her, socialized medicine is now one step closer to reality."

It's beginning to look more and more as though the Tenth Amendment may be the thing that saves the Republic. The Founders created a system that left most powers in the hands of the states. The forces of a strong central government forced their view on the country in the 1860's but the issue never really went away. Now it's back with a vengeance and may be the only way left for the people to force the Federal politicians to hear us. Pay close attention to what is going on in your state regarding the Tenth and stay in contact with your legislators.

As we draw ever closer to what feels to be some sort of climactic confrontation Christian leaders are coming together to lead their flocks in a war for the truth. This setting aside of doctrinal difference to work towards the good of all is a strong indication of the change occurring across all societal lines. Everything is becoming less gray. We are being presented with clear choices. We will either support the forces of goodness and truth or we will perish with the forces of evil. The lies spoken by our political "leaders" are becoming more transparent, at least to those searching for truth, with every passing day.

The signers of the "Manhattan Declaration", an excerpt of which is posted below, have drawn a very clear line in the sand. Like Travis at the Alamo they are asking us to cross over the line and fight with them; and perhaps die. Do we have the courage? Do we have the resolve?

The battle lines are being drawn. Will you take your place on the wall, standing shoulder to shoulder in defense of truth? Or will you surrender and hope that your captors treat you well?

Die in freedom or live in shackles. You are going to have to choose.

"As Christians, we take seriously the Biblical admonition to respect and obey those in authority. We believe in law and in the rule of law. We recognize the duty to comply with laws whether we happen to like them or not, unless the laws are gravely unjust or require those subject to them to do something unjust or otherwise immoral. The biblical purpose of law is to preserve order and serve justice and the common good; yet laws that are unjust—and especially laws that purport to compel citizens to do what is unjust—undermine the common good, rather than serve it.

Going back to the earliest days of the church, Christians have refused to compromise their proclamation of the gospel. In Acts 4, Peter and John were ordered to stop preaching. Their answer was, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Through the centuries, Christianity has taught that civil disobedience is not only permitted, but sometimes required. There is no more eloquent defense of the rights and duties of religious conscience than the one offered by Martin Luther King, Jr., in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail. Writing from an explicitly Christian perspective, and citing Christian writers such as Augustine and Aquinas, King taught that just laws elevate and ennoble human beings because they are rooted in the moral law whose ultimate source is God Himself. Unjust laws degrade human beings. Inasmuch as they can claim no authority beyond sheer human will, they lack any power to bind in conscience. King’s willingness to go to jail, rather than comply with legal injustice, was exemplary and inspiring.

Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family. We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s. But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s."

Democrat Mary Landrieu has probably been bought and paid for with our money; to work against our interests. Business as usual goes on.

I was trying to think of something pithy to say here but I can't. We've had TEA parties and marches on Washington. We call them and write. We have exercised every normal, rational and legal option available to us to stop this takeover of our lives. Yet, the bribery and subterfuge continue. We have no real say in the direction of our country and very little in the direction of our lives. We have been ensnared in a trap of Biblical proportions.

Remember when the whiny, sniveling lefties used to say "Better red than dead"? That's bullshit. I'll take death over slavery any day. We are being forced into slavery with the enactment of this health control legislation. Or with Cap and Trade. Or with the Copenhagen Treaty. Or with the TARP funding and the "rescue" of the "too big to fails". I can't keep up with all of this.

It's time for everyone that sees this coming to prepare in earnest for what's ahead. First, make sure that your family is prepared. Then try to get as many people in your neighborhood on board as possible. If you have been given the gift of foresight it is your responsibility to spread the word. Most will just think you're crazy. So what. Move on to the next until you find those that understand. It's vital that we begin to create local groups that are self sustaining. We are going to revert to a much simpler but harsher existence. It will take a group effort to get through this.

The time is getting short. Days, weeks, years? I don't know, even though I think shorter is probably more accurate.

Prepare yourself spiritually. This is REALLY a problem of Biblical proportions. We will need the direct intervention of God in our lives if we hope to be able to get our families and others through this. There are going to be many signs and wonders in the near future. We will need to hear the voice of God clearly so that we can know what we are supposed to do. These signs will cause panic and cries of rejection from those that place their hopes in politics, economics and the power of man. We will need the clear and unwavering voice of God to be able to explain what is happening. Again, if you have been given the gift of understanding what is going on around us it is your responsibility to help those around you to understand the truth.

I know that this stuff sounds crazy. I read what I have written and I understand that many will consider this the ravings of a deluded religious nut. I am driven to tell people what I know to be true. I don't know why I know it but I do. So many of the things that I have seen clearly have come to pass that I just can't discount the things that I see as yet to come. I'm being driven to say and write things that are extremely uncomfortable. I find it embarrassing to have to tell people that the sky is falling while the sun shines brightly. I get tired of being told that I am a fool. I'm tired of the thoughts and the sense of death and suffering that I feel. I'm tired of feeling compelled to comment on things that I really would just rather let alone. I'm tired of feeling crazy.

So get yourself, your family and your friends ready. How? I don't know. Ask God and he'll tell you. But, you have to get quiet to hear. Then, and now comes the tricky part, you have to accept what you are told. Because you will think you are going crazy. You will feel compelled to do weird, uncomfortable counter intuitive things; at least by the standards of the world.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure Noah felt a little strange, too.

"ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports:

What does it take to get a wavering senator to vote for health care reform?

Here’s a case study.

On page 432 of the Reid bill, there is a section increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster.”

The section spends two pages defining which “states” would qualify, saying, among other things, that it would be states that “during the preceding 7 fiscal years” have been declared a “major disaster area.”

I am told the section applies to exactly one state: Louisiana, the home of moderate Democrat Mary Landrieu, who has been playing hard to get on the health care bill.

In other words, the bill spends two pages describing would could be written with a single world: Louisiana. (This may also help explain why the bill is long.)

Senator Harry Reid, who drafted the bill, cannot pass it without the support of Louisiana’s Mary Landrieu.

How much does it cost? According to the Congressional Budget Office: $100 million."

I disagree with a lot of the actions taken by George Bush when he was in office but you gotta give the guy his due. He's got class, something that is sorely lacking in the current, self obsessed occupant of the Oval Office.

"Last night former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura made a secret visit to the devastated military families at Fort Hood.

The Bushes instructed the commander of the mourning military base that they wanted no publicity. With their Secret Service detail, Bush and his wife made the 30 mile trip unannounced from their ranch near Crawford, Texas Friday evening.

Fox News broke news of the visit this afternoon. Other sources said the former first couple spent about two hours meeting with the wounded, family and soldiers, talking quietly and at times hugging them as they did in private at other times of crisis such as post-9/11.

Most presidents come to feel a genuine respect and affection for the people they lead as commander-in-chief and sometimes the affection is reciprocated.

Many base workers and residents on Fort Hood are still reeling from the shooting this week by Major Nidal Malik Hasan that killed 13 people and wounded dozens of others. (See video below.)

The White House announced today the Obamas plan to attend a memorial service there on Tuesday. Some foreign news reporters have begun to write unflattering comparisons of the emotional Bush vs the ever-cool, possibly cold Obama.

When our kids are sitting in their history classes this is the man they should learn about. And others like him. People that put country and duty above themselves. People that will rush headlong into certain death because it is the right thing to do. Heroes and leaders, these people don't expect special rewards just for showing up and they don't expect to be treated any differently than anyone else. They do their duty with honor and in doing so lift up themselves and their country. These are the kind of people that have made America the great country that it is (or, perhaps unfortunately, was).

Keep Col. Millett and all the other WWII vets in your prayers. The "Greatest Generation" is dwindling. Many of those that have come after them have forgotten their sacrifices. We are going to be asked to stand and deliver in the very near future. We need to understand what made them great if we are to have any chance at all of regaining the country that they spilled so much blood to protect.

"Lewis L. Millett, 88, a career Army officer who was briefly and somewhat misleadingly court-martialed for desertion during World War II and went on to receive the Medal of Honor for leading a bayonet charge during the Korean War, died Nov. 14 at a veterans hospital in Loma Linda, Calif. He had congestive heart failure.

Col. Millett, who sported a red handlebar mustache, cut an audacious and unconventional path during his 35 years of military service. He led daring attacks in two wars and was instrumental in starting a reconnaissance commando school to train small units for covert operations in Vietnam.

He also was an Army deserter. He later said he had been so eager to "help fight fascism and Hitler" that he left an Air Corps gunnery school in mid-1941 -- months before the U.S. entry into World War II -- to enlist with the Canadian army and go overseas. He manned an antiaircraft gun during the London blitz before rejoining the U.S. Army, which had by that time declared war and apparently was not being overly meticulous in its background checks....

...During the Korean War, he received the military's highest awards for valor, including the Medal of Honor and the Distinguished Service Cross, for two bayonet charges he led as a company commander in February 1951.

"We had acquired some Chinese documents stating that Americans were afraid of hand-to-hand fighting and cold steel," he told Military History. "When I read that, I thought, 'I'll show you, you sons of bitches!' "

Washington Post

"When he became a company commander in the Korean War, serving as a captain in the 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, he seemed a visage from battlefields past with his red handlebar mustache. On Feb. 7, 1951, he employed a tactic of bygone wars with a fury that overwhelmed the enemy.

During the fighting near Osan, South Korea, Captain Millett’s unit encountered Communist troops atop a spot called Hill 180.

It would be remembered as Bayonet Hill for what the military historian Brig. Gen. S. L. A. Marshall would call “the most complete bayonet charge by American troops since Cold Harbor,” a reference to the carnage at an 1864 Civil War battle in Virginia.

After ordering his men to fix bayonets, Captain Millett charged up the hill in front of them in the face of heavy fire, blasting away with his carbine, throwing grenades and, most spectacularly, wielding his bayonet when he encountered three enemy soldiers in a V-shaped gun position.

“I assaulted an antitank rifle crew,” he told Military History magazine in 2002. “The man at the point was the gunner. I bayoneted him. The next man reached for something, I think it was a machine pistol, but I bayoneted him — got him in the throat.”

The third soldier had a submachine gun.

“I guess the sight of me, red-faced and screaming, made him freeze,” he recalled. “Otherwise he would have killed me. I lunged forward and the bayonet went into his forehead. With the adrenaline flowing you’re strong as a bull. It was like going into a watermelon.”

Captain Millett was wounded by grenade fragments, but his men took the hill. President Harry S. Truman presented him with the Medal of Honor in July 1951. As the citation put it, “His dauntless leadership and personal courage so inspired his men that they stormed into the hostile position and used their bayonets with such lethal effect that the enemy fled in wild disorder.”

The fact that the USCCB feels compelled to defend their actions regarding the CCHD means that the public outcry against them is having an effect. It also tells me that where there's smoke there's fire.

One question; if the applicants for grants are as carefully screened as the Bishop claims why are so many being forced to return funds after the fact? It seems to me that the screening process isn't very effective or the applicants truly are in line with the beliefs of those granting the funds. I'm thinking that someone seems to have been caught with their hand in the cookie jar and they are now claiming that they were just checking to make sure the cookies were safe.

"The chairman of the U.S. bishops’ subcommittee which oversees the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has defended the program against what he called “outrageous” allegations and claims. He reiterated that the campaign is pro-life and has “zero tolerance” for funding any group that violates Catholic teaching...

...“You will recall that CCHD was the first national group to cut funds for ACORN,” he added, referring to the community organizing group that was accused of voter fraud in 2008.

“We say at CCHD that we have zero tolerance for any group that would violate the Church teachings.”

The bishop said it was “particularly disturbing” that people form an opinion of CCHD based on an individual incident of misconduct.

“They paint the whole organization with a broad brush using isolated instances.”...

...“The Campaign funds projects that empower the poor and help them organize themselves to move out of poverty. All grant applicants are carefully screened (emphasis added) and funds are provided only to projects with objectives and actions that are fully in accord with the moral teaching of the Catholic Church.”...

...The CCHD document noted the allegation that its grants funded Young Workers United and the Chinese Progressive Association, who both produced voter guides that took a position contrary to Church teaching. Both groups backed same-sex “marriage” and Young Workers United reportedly also voiced support for legalized abortion and legalized prostitution.

After a joint investigation with the Archdiocese of San Francisco, the CCHD said it immediately canceled both grants and both organizations returned the grant money.

The CCHD said investigation was continuing into the Prebel Street group and the Women’s Community Revitalization Project, which allegedly were involved in activity contrary to Church teaching.

The CCHD said that investigations into several other accused groups found no activity contrary to Church teaching.

The Los Angeles Community Action Network (LACAN), which was accused of promoting same-sex “marriage” and actively supporting contraception and the morning-after pill, was cleared by a review conducted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the CCHD reported.

Addressing the charges against the Mobilize the Immigrant Vote (MIV) coalition in California, the CCHD said six of the seven coalition members are currently funded by the CCHD and all six confirmed that they were never consulted about MIV taking positions on ballot initiatives contrary to Catholic social teaching."

It's nice to have something good to say about the USCCB for a change. It looks like they have issued a pastoral letter in line with Church teachings. I'll have to read the whole thing (if I can stay awake) and see what else it has to say. I hope that they have maintained their fidelity to the truth regardless of who it offends.

"The bishops of the United States have issued a 60-page pastoral letter on marriage that offers an overview of Catholic teaching on the sacrament while addressing the challenges posed by contraception, same-sex unions, divorce, and cohabitation.

The draft of the document, which earned praise from pro-life and pro-family leaders, underwent nearly 100 changes before it was approved by a 180-45 margin. For example, in the section on contraception-- which cites Humanae Vitae seven times-- the sentence “this is an intrinsically evil action” was changed and expanded to:

This is objectively wrong in and of itself and is essentially opposed to God’s plan for marriage and proper human development. It makes the act of intercourse signify, or speak, something less than the unreserved self-gift intended in the marriage promises.

The draft’s key paragraph condemning the legal recognition of homosexual unions remained unchanged:

The legal recognition of same-sex unions poses a multifaceted threat to the very fabric of society, striking at the source from which society and culture come and which they are meant to serve. Such recognition affects all people, married and non-married: not only at the fundamental levels of the good of the spouses, the good of children, the intrinsic dignity of every human person, and the common good, but also at the levels of education, cultural imagination and influence, and religious freedom."

Perhaps this Sunday, in lieu of a donation to the CCHD, we should send along a note in the envelope explaining why we disagree with the overtly leftist and anti-Catholic stance of the USCCB.

Just a thought. I'm sure my notice of excommunication is in the mail.

Not to the smokers but to the governments that collect the taxes. Anyone that thinks marijuana will not be legalized is badly deluded. The real addictive properties of this otherwise benign drug are about to be exhibited for all the world to see. Governments will be selling joints right next to the Powerball tickets. All vice is laudable when it produces a revenue stream for the politicians to use to buy favors.

"Attorney General John Suthers said in a legal opinion released late today that the sale of medical marijuana is subject to taxation.

Responding to a query from Gov. Bill Ritter's office, Suthers, a Republican, said, "Medical marijuana is tangible property that is generally subject to state sales tax."

The opinion also said medical marijuana dispensaries must obtain retail sales licenses from the state.

Medical marijuana advocates applauded the opinion as a step in the right direction, saying the industry had been working on proposals to enact some sort of tax."

Doug Hoffman of the NY-23 may still win. The recount is in progress now. It probably won’t happen and really it doesn’t matter all that much.

The reality is that Hoffman has proven it can work. A third party candidate, an accountant no less, damn near upset the apple cart. He came within a whisper of winning, even with both parties joining together to defeat him. Even with little money and not much charisma he proved that the people can defeat the machine.

We know that come 2010 we can take this Leviathan apart. It won’t be easy or pretty but we can do it. And we won’t need a party or even much of an organization. We just need the candidates. We need honest, boring patriots that just want to help return our country to what it was. If they are the real thing, we’ll know it. And just like the TEA parties an organic base of support will materialize and sweep these candidates into office. The free flow of information that the Internet has allowed will make this possible. The power of ideas will overwhelm the power of money and guns.

The Internet must be stopped. It cannot be allowed to exist as it does today if the Republicans and Democrats (bankers and corporations) want to retain their power in 2010. It poses too much of a threat to too many powerful interests. We are going to see a concerted effort to squash our freedom of expression on an international scale. The only way that I can see to do this is for the governments of the world to take control of the ISP’s.

Since just a few weeks ago the President signed into law an emergency powers act that will allow for just this sort of seizure one has to wonder just what sort of emergency is coming our way. Perhaps something like the pandemic type of flu that seems to be burning through the Ukraine.

I was just reading this at

"OTTAWA – In a shocking surge, 24 Ontario residents have died in less than 72 hours from Swine Flu, the Public Health Agency of Canada reported on its website.

Ontario’s startling fatalities reported between November 10 and 11 a.m. EST on November 12 catapults the death toll from 37 reported on Nov. 10 to a total of 61. That is twice the figure of dead in Quebec and the highest of any province in Canada.

Hospitals from coast to coast are swamped with admissions and visits to emergency departments in the past week with other provinces reporting record admissions from Swine Flu since its outbreak was noticed in April.

Nova Scotia and Manitoba reported one death each between Nov. 10 and Nov. 12 to take Canada’s national fatality toll to 161 with much of the spike happening since the second wave of Swine Flu began in October.

On November 10 at 11 a.m. EST, Ontario’s death toll stood at 37 and the Canadian national total was at 135.

46 Canadians have died between November 5 and November 12 with heavy rates of hospitalizations across the country."

I'm just sitting here with random thoughts running through my mind. It feels as though something big is about to happen. I just don't know what. Of course, I've had this feeling for quite some time. The sense of urgency is increasing.

This is a prayer found on the website of the George Soros funded Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (doesn't the name just say it all?). I've never, thank God, heard a prayer like this at Mass.

So let's play a new game.
How many leftist catch phrases can we find IN A PRAYER, for cryin' out loud:

1) life and dignity

2) policies and the values we use for evaluation

3) Health Care reform

4) provide affordable, accessible health care for all peoples

5) their needs upheld as an example of the common good

6) impose silence on to our own cares, desires and imaginings and when to speak truth to power

And my personal, all time favorite:

7) Health care is a basic human right

"Good and Gracious God
Hear the groanings of our prayers,
We seek grace and light
For important issues concerning life and dignity.

Give us clarity and insight about policies
and the values we use for evaluation.

We pray especially for those lawmakers
Providing insights and potential decisions
regarding Health Care reform-
May it make provisions for all peoples and protect life,
dignity, as well as provide affordable, accessible
health care for all peoples.

Light a light of truth within each of us
A truth that not only ignites Christ within us
Yet enables us to know and recognize Christ in others.
May the immigrant, their children, the unemployed
and all those who are
Without health care be considered
And their needs upheld as an example
of the common good.

May a flame of truth
Enkindles in each of us
the desire for all good things for all people
May we learn when to impose silence on to our
own cares, desires and imaginings
and when to speak truth to power.

May we have the courage to let go
Of any single issue that
May create division yet cling to
The foundational moral issue of human life and dignity.

As our Catholic moral tradition teaches that
Health care is a basic human right,
Essential to protecting human life and dignity.

With Christ, may we know the words spoken,
My grace is enough for you within our hearts.

You are the God of our hearts
And the God that is reasonable beyond all doubt
May we know our portion forever,
Blessed be the Lord forever,
Ad all the people will say:
Let it be, let it be
Amen! Amen!"

It's time for the Bishops that follow true Church teaching to disassociate themselves, loudly and publicly, from all of the political skulduggery that the USCCB has mired itself in. This scandal will cause many to fall away, wrongly believing that the Church supports this creeping socialism, when in reality it is a group of nearly schismatic American Bishops acting without official Church sanction: I hope.

By Cliff Kincaid

The critical role of the Catholic Church in passing national health care reform legislation is coming under serious media scrutiny. But the story has taken a strange turn. It has now been revealed that George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund operator and well-known atheist, has been pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into “progressive” Catholic groups that are significant players in the national debates over health care and immigration.

On the surface, it would appear that Soros would be opposed to many positions of the Catholic Church. A major financial backer of the ACLU, Soros supports such causes as drug legalization, the rights of “sex workers” and felons, euthanasia, radical feminism, abortion rights, and homosexual rights. He does all of this in the name of promoting an “open society.”

But a review of the records of his Open Society Institute finds that a group calling itself Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good (CACG) has received $200,000 from them over the last several years...

...An AIM investigation also finds, however, that Soros money has gone into the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), an organization established by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops back in 1988. It has received at least $530,000 from the Open Society Institute.

The two issues merge in the fact that the Catholic Bishops are demanding that national health care legislation cover illegal aliens.

Aren't you glad that America is trying so hard to become more like Europe? I guess this too would fall under the General Welfare clause of the Constitution, right?

"Health and safety inspectors are to be given unprecedented access to family homes to ensure that parents are protecting their children from household accidents.

New guidance drawn up at the request of the Department of Health urges councils and other public sector bodies to “collect data” on properties where children are thought to be at “greatest risk of unintentional injury”.

Council staff will then be tasked with overseeing the installation of safety devices in homes, including smoke alarms, stair gates, hot water temperature restrictors, oven guards and window and door locks."

"On October 29, the Australian web site reported that:

"Western Ukraine was hit by a severe epidemic of unidentified influenza, tentatively diagnosed by doctors as viral pneumonia. The number of dead has climbed dramatically. Doctors advise Western Ukrainians to stay home and use preventive medicine."

On October 30, Jane Burgermeister's reported that:

"More than 30 people have died in the Ukraine as a result of a mysterious new virus that has an affinity for the lungs," according to Swiss reports. Ukraine's Health Ministry said the virus' origin is unknown and showed "no signs of mutating to become more virulent." So far, 40,000 people were reported sick and 951 hospitalized.

On October 30, reported that Ukraine's Health Minister, Vasyl Knyazevych, said two laboratories diagnosed 11 of 33 samples tested as "highly influenza A/H1N1." As a result, he considered declaring a nationwide quarantine, even though western areas alone were affected.

Since October 19, 30 deaths, including one child, from "acute respiratory infections," were reported, at first called SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome, a serious form of pneumonia caused by a virus). Influenza A virus affects birds and some mammals like pigs...

According to infectious disease expert, Dr. Donald Lau:

..."The statistical probability of this being the same H1N1 virus (is) infinitesimally small." He believes a highly virulent new strain is to blame. Public health authority, Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz sees a deadly connection between governments and the drug cartel over dangerous, toxic vaccines. On You Tube, he recently warned that:

"These vaccinations contain highly unstable viruses that easily mutate, because they are 'live active' laboratory mutants that are being administered....People shed these 'live' viruses up to three weeks following vaccination. That means if you haven't been vaccinated, and you get near someone who has and then sneezes, you can get their H1N1 laboratory infection."

He explained that anyone contracting H1N1, from vaccinations or other Swine Flu-infected persons, risks combining it with other internal or environmental viruses, creating a lethal mix that can kill. He expressed great concern about vaccines used to transmit dangerous viruses, capable of mutating into deadly ones, believes this may be happening in Ukraine, and thinks America and other nations may be next...

...On November 8, the South African web site reported that last June 26:

"Suspicious aircraft were forced to land. A US operated (Russian-made long-range heavy transport) AN-124 changed its call sign from civilian to military which then triggered a response from the IAF (Indian Air Force) upon entering Pakistani air space (forcing) the plane to land in Mumbai while (a) second one was forced down by Nigerian fighter jets that also arrested the crew."

"According to reports, China's People's Liberation Army Air Force contacted the Indian and Nigerian intelligence officials about the presence of these US operated Ukrainian aircraft amidst growing concern that the United States was spreading 'biological agents' in the Earth's atmosphere, which some Chinese officials believed to be an attempt to (commit) mass genocide via the spread of H1N1 swine flu."

These aircraft "were carrying 'waste disposal' systems that could spray up to 45,000kg (nearly 100,000 pounds) of aerial type mist from sophisticated....nano pipes" in the planes' wings - called chemtrails.

"Then last week, (aircraft) sprayed (an unknown) substance over Ukraine days before the (mysterious) plague outbreak."

People disappear and they die. Speech is proscribed. Yet, America and her President stand ready to kiss the ass of any Chinese official that can be found to make certain the flow of credit and cheap TV's continue.

Is there anything that we are wiling to sacrifice for? Is there no discomfort we will tolerate to do the right thing and support freedom for the people of the world? We have lost our way and very likely our soul. We are no longer the country that I was born into; a country willing to confront and defeat evil, regardless of the cost.

I take that back. After all, we did just put a tariff on cheap imported tires from China. That'll teach 'em!

"POSTERS went up on lampposts and walls all around drab neighbourhoods in the northwestern area of China last week, announcing a series of executions.

They proclaimed the deaths of nine men convicted of murdering people during the racial violence that convulsed the remote city of Urumqi in July. No details were released of the condemned men’s last moments and few dared to mourn them.

The executions marked the culmination of the Chinese authorities’ response to a revolt by native Uighur Muslims in the city on July 5.

The revolt triggered violent clashes with Han Chinese settlers before being put down by security forces that night. Chinese civilians later turned on the Uighurs.

Since the clashes ended on July 7, the Chinese and the Uighurs have traded acrimonious claims about what happened and how many died.

The government said that of the 197 people killed, only 46 were Uighurs. A local official put the number of rioters shot dead by the security forces at just 12.

Exiles, however, alleged that hundreds of Uighur men had died and thousands had disappeared after a police and army sweep through the rough district of Sai Ma Chang."

Below is a copy of a letter that I received via the Missouri Sovereignty Project group of which I am a member. It is in response to a letter sent to our Senator, Claire McCaskill, by Bill Boone, a member of Campaign For Liberty inquiring about her stand on the health control bill. As you can see her response is typical political double talk. However, it would appear that she is going to go against the will of the majority of her constituents and vote for government control of 1/6 of our economy.

Thanks Claire. I hope that you have enjoyed your one term as a United States Senator. What have you been promised for your slavish support of the destruction of our Republic? Much like Robert Johnson it appears you have been down to the crossroads and made your decision. I hope you can live with it.

November 16, 2009
Dear Mr. Boone,

Thank you for contacting me regarding our health care system. I appreciate your comments and welcome the opportunity to respond.

There is no denying that our health care system is in dire need of reform. The soaring cost of medical care is crippling our economy, bankrupting our nation's families, and becoming an unsustainable financial burden for American employers. In the last eight years, health care premiums have grown four times faster than wages, and there are nearly 46 million uninsured Americans - the majority of whom are employed. It's tragic that in a country of great wealth like ours so many of our fellow Americans don't have access to care; and that the uninsured are suffering from avoidable illnesses and receiving expensive medical care too late, the cost of which gets passed onto the rest of us.

I am pleased to see my colleagues on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension Committee and on the Finance Committee leading the health reform effort in the Senate. There are still many tough issues to resolve in the health care debate, including insurance coverage mandates, whether a public program will compete with private insurers, and how to pay for it. I welcomed the President's speech to Congress which outlined his view of how Congress should resolve the health care reform debate and offered room for compromise and pragmatism. While the debate continues, the highest priorities for Congress and health industry leaders remain protecting patient choice of care, curbing skyrocketing health costs, and expanding coverage for the uninsured.

Although I am hopeful that significant reform will be enacted by the end of this year, you should know that Congress has already passed several measures that have improved access to care for children and struggling families. In January, I voted for Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (H.R. 2), which will provide 4.1 million additional low-income children with quality health care coverage. I was also pleased that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), enacted in February, included extended unemployment health benefits coverage as well as funds for cost saving health care initiatives like health information technology.

Although there is not a final version of the health reform bill in the Senate, I understand that there has been a lot of confusion and misinformation, and, yes, some fear and anger, as well, surrounding certain proposals for reform. You may be interested to know the Special Committee on Aging, of which I am a member, has prepared a document entitled "Health Care Reform, Fact vs. Fiction". I would encourage you to visit the website to gather factual information regarding some of these rumors. If you are interested in reading the House and Senate bills, you can find the most updated versions of the legislation by visiting and

Addressing our nation's health care crisis will be no small feat for Congress; but it will only get worse the longer we ignore it. Our nation's long term financial health requires a balance between family coverage needs and viable financing from businesses and the government. The current tenuous situation necessitates action on healthcare reform now. I look forward to working with my colleagues in a bipartisan fashion to find a fiscally responsible solution for the health of Americans and our nation's economy, and I am hopeful that we will have significant reform enacted by the end of this year.
