So let's play a new game.
How many leftist catch phrases can we find IN A PRAYER, for cryin' out loud:
1) life and dignity
2) policies and the values we use for evaluation
3) Health Care reform
4) provide affordable, accessible health care for all peoples
5) their needs upheld as an example of the common good
6) impose silence on to our own cares, desires and imaginings and when to speak truth to power
And my personal, all time favorite:
7) Health care is a basic human right
"Good and Gracious God
Hear the groanings of our prayers,
We seek grace and light
For important issues concerning life and dignity.
Give us clarity and insight about policies
and the values we use for evaluation.
We pray especially for those lawmakers
Providing insights and potential decisions
regarding Health Care reform-
May it make provisions for all peoples and protect life,
dignity, as well as provide affordable, accessible
health care for all peoples.
Light a light of truth within each of us
A truth that not only ignites Christ within us
Yet enables us to know and recognize Christ in others.
May the immigrant, their children, the unemployed
and all those who are
Without health care be considered
And their needs upheld as an example
of the common good.
May a flame of truth
Enkindles in each of us
the desire for all good things for all people
.
May we learn when to impose silence on to our
own cares, desires and imaginings
and when to speak truth to power.
May we have the courage to let go
Of any single issue that
May create division yet cling to
The foundational moral issue of human life and dignity.
As our Catholic moral tradition teaches that
Health care is a basic human right,
Essential to protecting human life and dignity.
With Christ, may we know the words spoken,
My grace is enough for you within our hearts.
You are the God of our hearts
And the God that is reasonable beyond all doubt
May we know our portion forever,
Blessed be the Lord forever,
Ad all the people will say:
Let it be, let it be
Amen! Amen!"
