I've posted the opinion piece below fromBusiness Investors Dailyin its entirety because it's important that Americans here about this. Glenn Beck put the evidence of this massive scam together on his show and since then there has been almost no coverage of it by any media outlet. Why?
Our government is no longer "government of the people, by the people, for the people" but instead has become the vehicle that is used by those with power and wealth to acquire more of the same. We are taxed and enslaved by a system that benefits the few at the expense of the many. We are forced, under threat of law, to labor for the gain of others and a system that has become so corrupt it has nearly lost its legitimacy.

These words of Jefferson's, filled with power and truth, are once again sounding across the land. The majority of Americans want their country back. We don't want "fundamental change" to the Constitution or our representative style of government; we certainly don't want the Marxist Utopia that our current political leadership seems to admire.
There is a battle looming ahead of us. While most Americans would like to see a peaceful return to the country we love and the Constitutional ideals we venerate, the forces of Marxism will create chaos and destruction, hoping to drive us into the arms of a dictator that promises peace and security.
The forces of Marxism will not go quietly into the night. We have to understand what is ahead of us and prepare for battle. Prepare with peace in our hearts and prayer on our tongues, always intending to cause no harm to others. We have to try, as we have with the peaceful Tea Party protests, to avoid violence and hate. There will be plenty of that from our enemies. When the history of this struggle is written let it be said that we fought with honor and restraint; that all avenues of peaceful resistance were exhausted before we raised our arms, if that is what must do in the end.
As we begin to see violence in the streets and attacks against our property we will naturally be tempted to respond in kind. That would play into the hands of our enemies. With the media on their side any violent response from those that stand for the Constitution will be used against us. Somehow, we've got to restrain ourselves to give those that haven't paid attention time to understand which side is in the right. If we can show peace in the face of terror we will win the P.R. battle in the long run. Winning that battle will win us the war.
The forces of darkness are gathering against us in our nation's capital and our government. The corruption, the "Chicago Way", is in control. We are going to have to, in the words of Thomas Jefferson, "throw off" this evil if we are to survive as a nation.
Pray that we survive as a free people and that we can weather the coming storm.
"While senators froth over Goldman Sachs and derivatives, a climate trading scheme being run out of the Chicago Climate Exchange would make Bernie Madoff blush. Its trail leads to the White House.
Lost in the recent headlines was Al Gore's appearance Monday in Denver at the annual meeting of the Council of Foundations, an association of the nation's philanthropic leaders.
"Time's running out (on climate change)," Gore told them. "We have to get our act together. You have a unique role in getting our act together."
Gore was right that foundations will play a key role in keeping the climate scam alive as evidence of outright climate fraud grows, just as they were critical in the beginning when the Joyce Foundation in 2000 and 2001 provided the seed money to start the Chicago Climate Exchange. It started trading in 2003, and what it trades is, essentially, air. More specifically perhaps, hot air.
The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) advertises itself as "North America's only cap-and-trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide." Barack Obama served on the board of the Joyce Foundation from 1994 to 2002 when the CCX startup grants were issued. As president, pushing cap-and-trade is one of his highest priorities. Now isn't that special?
Few Americans have heard of either entity. The Joyce Foundation was originally the financial nest egg of a widow whose family had made millions in the now out-of-favor lumber industry.
After her death, the foundation was run by philanthropists who increasingly dedicated their giving to liberal causes, including gun control, environmentalism and school changes.
Currently, CCX members agree to a voluntary but legally binding agreement to regulate greenhouse gases.
The CCX provides the mechanism in trading the very pollution permits and carbon offsets the administration's cap-and-trade proposals would impose by government mandate.
Thanks to Fox News' Glenn Beck, we have learned a lot about CCX, not the least of which is that its founder, Richard Sandor, says he knew Obama well back in the day when the Joyce Foundation awarded money to the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, where Sandor was a research professor.
Sandor estimates that climate trading could be "a $10 trillion dollar market." It could very well be, if cap-and-trade measures like Waxman-Markey and Kerry-Boxer are signed into law, making energy prices skyrocket, and as companies buy and sell permits to emit those six "greenhouse" gases.
So lucrative does this market appear, it attracted the attention of London-based Generation Investment Management, which purchased a stake in CCX and is now the fifth-largest shareholder.
As we noted last year, Gore is co-founder of Generation Investment Management, which sells carbon offsets of dubious value that let rich polluters continue to pollute with a clear conscience.
Other founders include former Goldman Sachs partner David Blood, as well as Mark Ferguson and Peter Harris, also of Goldman Sachs. In 2006, CCX received a big boost when another investor bought a 10% stake on the prospect of making a great deal of money for itself. That investor was Goldman Sachs, now under the gun for selling financial instruments it knew were doomed to fail.
The actual mechanism for trading on the exchange was purchased and patented by none other than Franklin Raines, who was CEO of Fannie Mae at the time.
Raines profited handsomely to the tune of some $90 million by buying and bundling bad mortgages that led to the collapse of the American economy. His interest in climate trading is curious until one realizes cap-and-trade would make housing costlier as well.
Amazingly, none of these facts came up at Senate hearings on Goldman Sachs' activities, which may be nothing more than Ross Perot's famous "gorilla dust," meant to distract us from the real issues.
The climate trading scheme being stitched together here will do more damage than Goldman Sachs, AIG and Fannie Mae combined. But it will bring power and money to its architects."

"Open TV and Film, the London-based production company, is developing a TV mini-series based on Barack Obama’s days on the campaign trail. ITV Studios USA is co-developing the project. Simon Shaps, chairman of Open, has optioned Newsweek journalist Richard Woolfe’s book Renegade: The Making of a President. The author was granted unique access to Obama during the campaign. Shaps – who used to be ITV’s director of television -- told me: “It is early days, but we are sure there will no shortage of ideas for who plays the President.” Deadline
I see two ways for those of us that hold to true Catholic teaching to fight this "cancer". Both involve radical surgery.
1) As I've stated over the last few days the Pope needs to kick the bums out. He should start at the top. Any Bishop that is not towing the line when it comes to authentic Catholic teaching and Doctrine needs to be removed from office. If they choose to remain priests they need to be assigned duties that will absolutely restrain them from corrupting the teachings of the Church. Since this is probably impossible and because in many cases their own words and actions may have automatically excommunicated them, remove them from the priesthood, give them their walking papers and send them on their way. I'm sure that the political relationships they've cultivated will come in handy when looking for work.
As far as the laity goes; if a person has publicly or privately strayed from the Church on issues such as abortion, "social justice" or any other number of issues give them the chance to repent. Those that have strayed publicly and from positions of power and influence need to recant their positions publicly and show, to the public, due respect and submission to the authority and truth of Church teaching. As part of their penance they need to begin to undo the damage they have done. If they refuse; excommunication.
2) If we can't get the leadership to begin the process of curing the "cancer" we'll have to do it ourselves. Groups of Catholics, loyal to the Pope and the Church, need to begin to assemble. We need Bishops that will join us and parishes that we can call our own. We can begin to put pressure on the Vatican from the ground up.
I'm not talking about an SSPX style movement outside the Church but something kept within the family. The protections of Christ in Matthew 16:18 apply directly to the offices of Pope and Bishop. We must stay with Peter. To stray from the chair is to invite heresy. Look at how quickly Luther's actions began the chain of disobedience that resulted in the formation of creed after creed, church after church.
Doing this will require Bishops of great wisdom, strength and leadership. It would also require the absolute protection of the Holy Spirit. This is a potentially destructive and dangerous undertaking, fraught with temptation to assume authority were it doesn't belong. The leaders of this movement would need incredible boldness and Christ like humility. A rare combination, to be sure.
These are the times that try men's souls. We, the people, are being asked to stand up, both in our political lives and our faith lives. This isn't a coincidence. This is part of a process; a winnowing, separating the wheat from the chaff. Everything we have known is changing; radically.
We can no longer stand by and hope that others will take up the cross; it's our turn. We either accept our responsibility or evil will triumph. It's that simple.
Simplicity is the key. The bad guys keep trying to muddy the waters, making things sound so complex and confusing that most people believe they can't possibly understand what's going on. But it isn't. These issues are issues of natural law. That's why you feel them in your gut. The leaders of the physical world and the spiritual have offended God and His law.

It is not only our right but our responsibility to stand up and set the world aright. In the end, the people are the last, best hope. We have the authority from God himself because we have the right to freedom, which came from God. We are obligated by the right to defend freedom whenever it is under assault. We are also given the right to truth and because of this, we are obligated to speak the truth and protect it.
Nobody is coming to save us. We must save ourselves. Our actions will cause the heavens to open and the power of God will rush to our cause.

"Is this Another Backroom Deal to Force Obama’s Bill Down the American People’s Throats?
As a vote approaches on Obama and Pelosi’s government takeover of healthcare, Code Red is now considering two supposedly “undecided” California Democrats, Dennis Cardoza and Jim Costa, to now be “yes” votes.
The U.S. Department of Interior announced yesterday that it is increasing water allocations for the Central Valley of California, a region that depends on these water allocations to support local agriculture and jobs. The region has recently been starved for water and as a result unemployment has soared. Not surprisingly, Cardoza and Costa had a hand in the announcement:
“Typically, Reclamation would release the March allocation update around March 22nd, but moved up the announcement at the urging of Senators Feinstein and Boxer, and Congressmen Costa and Cardoza.”(“Interior Announces Increased Water Supply Allocations in California,” U.S. Department of Interior news release, 3/16/10)
Will Cardoza and Costa come clean about this apparent backroom deal for their votes?
If health care passes, this is our future. This is what happens when the free market is removed from the system. We will end up with government stores selling only the drugs that the government allows. So we'll have very little selection and the corruption bred by government involvement will cause the few we have to be of low quality, limited supply and high price. Of course, we won't see the price because the bills will be paid in Washington. Our money will be used to line the pockets of the chosen few. Isn't this exactly what the Progressives say is happening now?
"Effective April 16, Walgreens drugstores across the state (Wahington) won't take any new Medicaid patients, saying that filling their prescriptions is a money-losing proposition — the latest development in an ongoing dispute over Medicaid reimbursement.
The company, which operates 121 stores in the state, will continue filling Medicaid prescriptions for current patients.
In a news release, Walgreens said its decision to not take new Medicaid patients stemmed from a "continued reduction in reimbursement" under the state's Medicaid program, which reimburses it at less than the break-even point for 95 percent of brand-name medications dispensed to Medicaid patents." I watch the markets climb day after day along with the incessant happy talk from the traders about recovery and a return to the days before the depression began. But how does any of this translate to the average American? All of the money feeding on itself on Wall Street doesn't seem to be creating new jobs. Investing used to denote, for the most part, a commitment to an idea. The investor looked for the company or individual that had built the better mousetrap and gave him his money, in hopes of a return on investment after the mousetrap became profitable. Stocks were meant to raise capital to help in the development of companies which would create jobs, make profit and grow the economy.
Now the stock market has become a play ground for the gambler. It isn't about long term risk and reward but about short term gain. Some bet that the mousetrap will succeed, some that it will fail, but none are concerned about anything but themselves. The greater economy and the lives of the average American be damned.
And this is why our cities, counties, states and country are failing. We've built a system of taxation and the service it supports based on the idea that there would always be jobs and that those jobs would always grow in number and wages. Unions have built themselves and their power around the principle that the worker has a "right" to the wealth of others. Governments have stopped trying to even make the pretense that they were created by the people to serve the best interests of the people. They are fighting for their survival in the new reality of shrinking revenues and higher demands for services they've addicted their citizens to. Governments believe they have the "right" to the wealth of others, too.
Wall street, government and the unions are all linked in their avarice. Each works with the other in a circle of destructive greed aimed at amassing power through the bald faced theft of the peoples money and freedom. And most can't see it. The white collar worker is mad at the unions, the blue collar worker is mad at Wall Street and everybody is mad at the government while at the same time holding out their hand for the dole.
As our cities, counties, states and country collapse we will be rounded up into smaller and smaller areas because it's too inefficient to service a large urban area. The unions will refuse to give, keeping the cost of government supplied services high. Wall Street will invest in short term gain, not caring about the country, just their own wallets. Government will increase taxes to pay for the dwindling services we've come to rely on, taking more and more of the little wealth in the private economy. Eventually the only good jobs left will be government jobs. So the government employee will work for a wage which is handed back to the government so that the government can supply the services the free market used to supply.

Superintendent John Covington called for the closing or consolidation of almost half of the city's public schools. A divided Kansas City school board voted Wednesday to approve the downsizing...
...Covington proposed the "Right-Size" plan arguing that the financial future of the entire school district was at stake. The plan shutters 28 of Kansas City's 61 public schools, cuts 700 jobs and saves $50 million to help reduce a burgeoning deficit." CNN
"A while back, Tasha Kheiriddin wrote about the Detroit mayor's plan to forcibly relocate parts of the crumbling city's dwindling population, huddling them together in greater densities for the sake of efficiency. Why spend good money sending garbage trucks out to neighbourhoods that have been all but abandoned, after all?
"If we don't do it, you know this whole city is going to go down. I'm hopeful people will understand that," said Mayor Dave Bing. "If we can incentivize some of those folks that are in those desolate areas, they can get a better situation."
Fair enough. Efficiency is good, though herding people out of their homes and forcibly replanting them elsewhere has some disturbing historical connotations. But let's ignore that for the moment; it still leaves the question of what to do with all those newly-depopulated areas. What, exactly, did Mayor Bing have in mind?
Well, now we know. Amber waves of grain, or something close to it. According to this report from Associated Press:
Operating on a scale never before attempted in this country, the city would demolish houses in some of the most desolate sections of Detroit and move residents into stronger neighborhoods. Roughly a quarter of the 139-square-mile city could go from urban to semi-rural.
Near downtown, fruit trees and vegetable farms would replace neighborhoods that are an eerie landscape of empty buildings and vacant lots. Suburban commuters heading into the city center might pass through what looks like the countryside to get there. Surviving neighborhoods in the birthplace of the auto industry would become pockets in expanses of green." National Post
"The city's major hospital network, which runs Miami's only round-the-clock trauma center and is a safety net for the poor and uninsured, is running out of money and could close, a predicament that illustrates the precarious financial state of many hospitals around the country.
The Jackson Health System will have little cash on hand by the end of March if it does not receive a $67 million advance from the county, said Marcos Lapciuc, treasurer of the Public Health Trust, the institution's governing board.
"We are very close, if not already in, a health care death spiral," Chief Operating Officer David Small said." Yahoo
"If the Jackson Health System runs out of cash, the county would be responsible for paying Jackson's 10,500 union workers, but not necessarily the other 1,500 employees, according to a legal analysis by County Attorney R.A. Cuevas Jr.
It's unclear exactly how big a tab that might be, but it would be a huge chunk of the $86 million of salaries and benefits that the public hospital system spends each month. At present, Jackson is expected to run out of cash in May or June unless drastic cuts are made." Miami Herald
"Township officials expressed frustration that several unions representing Moorestown government workers have not agreed to reopen contract negotiations.
Last month, township council asked the unions to consider making wage and health benefit concessions this year even though they have contracts that continue through 2012 and guarantee annual pay raises of 3.75 percent.
At Monday night's council meeting, Township Manager Christopher Schultz disclosed to the public the specifics of council proposals to the unions -- a wage freeze and a payroll contribution to health care benefits to help cut costs to the township.
As of Monday night's deadline to respond, township officials said none of the unions had agreed to reopen negotiations." Courier Post
"Gov. Pat Quinn today called for a 33 percent increase in the state income tax rate to raise money for education and ease deep cuts he's proposed in his new budget plan.
In his short budget speech to the House and Senate, Quinn argued that an income tax "surcharge" would be enough to restore Illinois' education budget to current levels and allow the state to get caught up on some of the millions owed to public schools, community colleges and four-year universities.
Quinn wants to increase the personal income tax rate from 3 percent to 4 percent --- a 33 percent increase --- with the corporate tax rate rising from 4.8 percent to 5.8 percent. The tax hike would bring in $2.8 billion a year." Chicago Tribune
"The recession and the ongoing jobless recovery devastated much of the private-sector work force last year, sending unemployment soaring, but government workers emerged essentially unscathed, according to data released Wednesday by the Labor Department.
Meanwhile, the compensation for state and local government employees continued to easily outdistance the wages and benefits for workers in private business, a separate Labor Department report showed." Washington Times
Why can't the USCCB just come out with guns blazing? They know that, based on his record, Obama will do whatever he can to make sure abortion is funded in whatever health control plan he can shove down our throats. So why the nice talk, the “perhaps he wants to leave this to further discussion”? My guess is that they don't want to offend their pals in the Democrat Party. My guess is that political power means more than the truth. I could be wrong and often am but, with all of the provable connections between the Bishop's Conference and the DNC what should I think? The USSCB has conflated Catholic teaching with Marxist "social justice" so many times that I can't trust their motives. Political corruption is destroying the moral authority of the American Catholic Church.
"President Barack Obama’s Monday proposal of a revamp of health care legislation drew criticism but also cautious speculation from various pro-life leaders. While some criticized the proposal’s lack of abortion funding restrictions, one commentator from the U.S. bishops’ office suggested the president may want “further discussion” on the issue.
The president did not propose any changes to the Senate health care bill’s restrictions on federal funding for abortions, The Los Angeles Times reports. The bill would require any woman buying a subsidized health plan with abortion services to pay separately for the abortion insurance benefit.
Seeking comment on the president’s proposal, CNA contacted Richard M. Doerflinger of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Secretariat of Pro-life Activities. He responded in an email on Monday.
“We have said that the House bill's position on abortion funding is acceptable and the Senate bill's is not,” Doerflinger told CNA. “The President's proposal, which is really a summary of points rather than a detailed legislative proposal, says he hopes to combine features of the House and Senate bills, but the proposal says nothing about abortion or abortion funding.
I get no joy from putting negative stories about the leadership of the Catholic Church on my blog. But Catholics need to be aware of the corruption that our Bishops seem to be allowing to continue. While the Deposit of Faith is protected from error by God the leadership is not.
We must pray for our Bishops and Priests to give them strength. We must always support them in what they do because they've given up a lot for us. That being said, we must also be vigilant in our duty as Catholics to protect ourselves and the faith from those that would do us harm, regardless of their vocation.

I’ve been reading a lot about Davis lately and the causes of the War Between the States. I’m struck by the similarities with the political realities we face today. While slavery was a contributing factor it was not the primary cause of the war. The war was caused by problems that could be traced back to the very beginning of the Republic; the role of the Federal Government and its relationship with the states, the control of the economy through a central banking system and the corrupting influence of business interests involved directly in controlling government policy for their own benefit. Does any of this sound familiar?
Sure it does. It could be on the front page of the papers today, that is if the papers cared to print the truth. On the one side we have Abraham Lincoln, a wealthy railroad lawyer and former Whig representing the interests of the steel producers by supporting tariffs that will benefit them at the expense of the agricultural Southern States. On the other side we have the South, represented by Davis, determined to protect their economic freedom by opposing tariffs that will strangle them.
This was not a new problem. In 1832 South Carolina nearly went to war with the Federal Government over this very issue. They passed nullification laws based on the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution and refused to enforce the Federal law. The crisis was barely averted when a new tariff law was negotiated in Congress.
All states had the right to do exactly what South Carolina did. The constitution narrowly defines the role of the Federal Government. Lincoln promised in his first inauguration speech that he would not allow the states to exercise their sovereign authority and furthermore that he would go to war to enforce his views. The only time Lincoln mentions going to war is over the issue of taxation (tariffs):
“The power confided to me will be used to hold, occupy, and possess the property and places belonging to the government, and to collect the duties and imposts; but beyond what may be necessary for these objects, there will be no invasion -- no using of force against or among the people anywhere.”
But, what about slavery you may ask. Again, from the first inauguration speech:
…"I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so."…
…"No person held to service or labor in one State, under the laws thereof, escaping into another, shall, in consequence of any law or regulation therein, be discharged from such service or labor, but shall be delivered up on claim of the party to whom such service or labor may be due."… Lincolns First Inaugural Speech
The Republican Party backed the tariffs and the formation of a central bank that would issue currency for one reason; the construction of the Trans Continental Railway. The tariff was necessary to make sure that the steel contracts went to Republican business interests in the North and the Central Bank was necessary to make sure the money could be created to fund it. Lincoln had not forgotten his friends in the railroad business.
Over one half million Americans were sacrificed for the profit of the businesses and the power of the bankers. The Constitution was burned and our Republic destroyed to benefit the powerful. I believe that these were the first shots fired in the war that we see coming to a conclusion today. These same interests are determined to finish the job, to take over the country completely and control every aspect of our lives for their benefit.
All because they have the “Higher Law” on their side and all we have is the shell of the Constitution. They also have ignorance on their side; the ignorance of an American public that has forgotten what this country was meant to be. But, that may be starting to change.
I'm not sure where to go with this. Blago was arrested because he took on the bankers. Really? It wasn't because of his own personal corruption? I mean, I don't know. I've always thought that the guy was a sleazeball but with the way things are going nothing would surprise me.
Anyway, I thought that this is interesting; not because I necessarily believe what he says but more because I like how he is spinning things. Even if it's a lie it sure is fun to watch. But, what if it's not a lie? Just because he is corrupt doesn't mean he didn't ruffle the wrong feathers and then his corruption was used to remove him and shut him down. Of course, taken to its logical conclusion, if the powers that be wanted him quiet he wouldn't have the freedom to spin his way out of this mess. He wouldn't be sitting there signing books.
Don't you just wish that the world was an honest place?
Can they hear us? Sure. Do they care? Nope. Why? Because by the time the elections roll around they will have so thoroughly consolidated their power that no peaceful force on this earth will dislodge them. How will they do it? I'm not sure, I just know they have a plan. If they didn't they would have never passed something that obviously would cost them their power.
