"Folks,
I received the following message from a fellow parishioner today:
The following link is to the web site of an independent film which needs our support to expose Planned Parenthood. The movie is called Blood Money. In order that the producers may get this film into the theaters, they need to show that millions of interested people have visited their website. You need only visit the website; there is no need to sign-up as a supporter unless you want to (and this blog master so encourages you). PLEASE HELP GET THIS IMPORTANT FILM INTO THEATERS BY VISITING THE WEBSITE, then forward this to your family and friends. Share with friends and family through word of mouth, mail, facebook, etc.

Let us make this perfectly clear:
In the 1850s it was legal in these United States (both north and south) for a slave owner to dispose of his black slaves as he saw fit. That included but was not limited to murder.
In the 1930s and early 40s it was legal in Germany to murder Jews with nary a second thought on the matter.
In today's America it has been legal since 1973 to murder unborn babies.
There is ZERO difference between Planned Parenthood (and Obamolech with his satanic, demonic legions from hell), and the slavers of the 1850s and the Nazis of the 1930s. They are totally, completely and irrevocably EVIL. "By their fruits ye shall know them...."

ARCHBISHOP BURKE LAYS DOWN THE LAW
This is an excerpt from a speech given this last weekend at Mundelein Seminary in Illinois by Archbishop Burke and published at the American Papist Blog. Archbishop Burke always speaks the hard words needed to be heard by the faithful. While he was in St. Louis he never backed down from a fight, taking on everyone from a local schismatic parish to Bob Costas and Sheryl Crow.
I wonder if this speech is laying the groundwork for additional Vatican action against these religious orders that refuse to obey the rightful authority of the Church? If so, it's about time and thank you Archbishop Burke.
I wonder if this speech is laying the groundwork for additional Vatican action against these religious orders that refuse to obey the rightful authority of the Church? If so, it's about time and thank you Archbishop Burke.
"[...Our joy today is] overshadowed by the public and obstinate betrayal of religious life by certain religious. Who ever could have imagined that religious congregations of pontifical right, would openly organize to resist and attempt to frustrate an apostolic visitation, that is, a visit to their congregations carried out under the authority of the vicar of Christ on earth, to whom all religious are bound by the strongest bonds of loyalty and obedience?
Who could imagine that consecrated religious would openly, and in defiance of the bishops as successors of the apostles publicly endorse legislation containing provisions which violated the natural moral law in its most fundamental tenets – the safeguarding and promoting of innocence and defenseless life, and fail to safeguard the demands of the free exercise of conscience for health care workers?
We witness a growing tendency among certain consecrated religious to view themselves outside and above the body of Christ as a parallel institution looking in upon the Church with an autonomy which contradicts their very nature. We have certainly come a long way from the total loyalty to the Roman Pontiff which was at the heart of the foundation of the Society of Jesus and of every religious congregation. Religious life lived in the heart of the Church, and for that reason religious congregations are, by their very nature, bound in strictest loyalty to the Roman Pontiff. It is of course an absurdity of the most tragic kind to have consecrated religious knowingly and obstinately acting against the moral law.
The spiritual harm done to the individual religious who are disobedient and also the grave scandal caused to the faithful and people in general are of incalculable dimensions.
[Do not doubt the influence of consecrated persons] … Was not the Speaker of the House [Nancy Pelosi] glowing to report that so many religious sisters were in support of her proposed health care plan? Was not a religious sister [Sr. Carol Keehan, President of CHA] one of the recipients of a pen used by the President of the United States to sign the health care plan into law?
Now is the time for us all, and in particular for consecrated persons to stand up for the truth and to call upon our fellow Catholics in leadership to do the same or to cease identifying themselves as Catholics."

STATES RIGHTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS- WE'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE
"Obamacare may be the last straw. It strips away fundamental economic liberties, empowering the federal government to de facto nationalize everyone's body by controlling our health. Americans are compelled - upon pain of penalty and eventual imprisonment - to purchase insurance.
Moreover, the law codifies the federal funding of abortion. Taxpayer dollars will be used to subsidize the murder of innocent life. Hence, Mr. Obama has violated the social compact: He has abrogated the conscience of pro-lifers, making them tacitly complicit in the slaughter of the unborn. Obamacare is a radical assault upon fundamental religious freedoms.
The Obama revolution threatens to tear America apart. This has happened before. Slavery eventually triggered the Civil War between the industrial North and the agrarian South. Abortion is the slavery of our time - the denying of basic human rights to an entire category of people.
Washington Times
It is becoming increasingly clear to me that we are entering times so similar to those that preceded the War Between the States that I have to believe the future will end with the same results. America is splintering. Compare the news of today to what was happening just prior to the outbreak of war in 1861.
We have a large segment of our society that are not recognized as persons. In the 19th century it was the blacks that were denied their personhood in the Dred Scott decision. Today it is the unborn child. In both cases the judicially defined lack of personhood denied both groups the rights enshrined in the Declaration of Independence; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We have political deals being made today that are designed to benefit certain business groups, deals such as health care, TARP and cap and trade. All of these deals exceed the powers granted the Congress in the Constitution. In the 1850's we had the Kansas-Nebraska Act, a piece of legislation designed to allow expansion of the railroads. While the transcontinental railroad did eventually lead to massive profits for politicians and businesses (not to mention nearly bringing down the Presidency of U.S. Grant through the corruption of the Credit Mobilier), because of its connection to the question of slavery it sparked the war along the Missouri-Kansas border in 1854, the first shots fired in the War Between the States. Health care is tied to the question of abortion in nearly the same way.
The question of state sovereignty was at the heart of all of this. The question of who held the power in this country, Washington or the states, was the root cause of a war that took the lives over a half million Americans. Taxation and Washington's power to use it to force individual states and their citizens to support programs that benefited one group while damaging another were at the center of the debate. Today, as state Attorney General's file suit and state legislatures create laws to enforce the Tenth Amendment to the constitution their arguments and reasons are the same as those put forth by the Southern states as they tried to stand against tyranny.
And just as it was 150 years ago, all of the underlying anger, the political strife and the public arousal just needs a reason, something to rally around, some spark to set it off. Something has to be seen as the moral justification to set the country aflame. In 1861 it was slavery; today it is abortion.
Some states (Thank God) have laws that are far more restrictive in regards to abortion than federal law. The citizens of those states may very well, by citing the Tenth Amendment, declare their intention to opt out of a system that is morally indefensible. Those of us that understand that we are participating in the murder of children now just by paying our taxes will look to our states for protection. It is our only possible recourse and defense. If a state decides that it has the authority under the Tenth Amendment to opt out, just as it did at Ft. Sumter the federal government will do something to provoke war. You see, South Carolina didn't fire on the fort because it wanted war, it fired because a foreign government (the United States) refused to vacate ground owned by a sovereign state, and further was attempting to resupply it. Lincoln provoked South Carolina to start a war. Today's government is more than capable of the same sort of thing.
And before I wrap this up, there is one more similarity between then and now; Lincoln and Obama both hail from Illinois.
History just continues to spin in circles.

A RIDER ON A PALE HORSE HEADS OUR WAY
"Prediction: Abortions will be performed at community health centers. You can bet your foreclosed mortgage on that. There was always a will by this administration, and now there's a way."
Kathleen Parker- Washington Post
Here is the question that is not being addressed by anyone: if our tax dollars ARE going to fund abortion then we are participating in the death of innocent children; how do we avoid this?
Obviously, this isn't some brand new problem because we all know how the government works. Hyde Amendment or no, tax dollars have been and will continue to be funneled into support for abortion. It's always been done with a wink and a nod and we've been able to avoid the direct complicity we've all been a part of. But not anymore.
Lines are being drawn by God to separate us into those that follow Him and those that don't. This is part of the process. No more murkiness; evil is out in the open for all to see. To be guilty of sin we must realize we are sinning. Regarding abortion funding and the deaths of children; is there any doubt left?
So what do we do about it? Do we refuse to pay taxes? Which ones? We're taxed on damn near everything we do and the money collected is mixed and mingled to such an extent that we can't separate dollars spent on abortion from anything else. Do we rely on the power of the ballot box? Sure, we can try that. The ugly reality is, however, that even if we can get this thing overturned at some point countless innocent lives will be lost before then, using our money to carry out the crime, with our knowledge and our tacit consent. Do we try to opt out of the system entirely? Is that even possible?
We need some help here. The Church needs to step up and tell us what options we have available. Americans are about to be forced to begin slaughtering babies by paying for the holocaust, an action no different than picking up a knife and cutting their little throats ourselves. We are about to become part and parcel of the culture of death in ways so obvious that we WILL be held accountable. Somebody with moral authority needs to give us some direction.
Because if they don't, hell is about to ride on its pale horse down the streets of America. As people begin to internalize what has happened and how they are going to be held responsible there will be an uprising. It'll start as civil disobedience which I fear will have little impact on the machinery of murder. As it becomes apparent that our government is determined to turn us into a nation of Satanic murderers little option will be left for those of us that refuse to follow the Devil. We will follow God, wherever He leads us. He may ask us to stand as witnesses and martyrs or He may ask us to fight. Whatever, we'll have to do it. We'll be bound by the promise of greater glory to suffer the fate we will here on earth. For no matter the suffering, we know who will win.
America, WE DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS! We don't have to keep poking God in the chest saying, "I dare ya'." Unfortunately, we will. And we are about to get what we've asked for.
Pray for discernment. Pray that you will hear God's voice. Pray that the Church will rise up and give us the direction we so desperately need. Pray for the conversion of hearts. Just simply pray.

CAN WE BELIEVE ANYTHING THESE GUYS SAY?
"The health care reform bill would have passed the House without the votes of Rep. Bart Stupak’s pro-life Democrats because House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “always carries a number of votes in her pocket,” Stupak told CNA in a Thursday phone interview.
The Michigan Democrat explained that by opting for the executive order, pro-life Democrats believe they ensured the legislation was “somewhat restrictive” towards abortion funding."
Catholic News Agancy
If, and this is a big if, Rep. Stupak is being truthful then I can understand his point. I would have voted against the bill regardless because of it's unconstitutional nature but, if what Stupak says is true, it may have made more sense to at least try to get some protections for the unborn. His actions could be viewed as a sort of strategic retreat.
Of course, all of this is based on what he now says being true. I guess the question I have regarding his actions is if this is the real reason behind them why has it taken so long to state it? The cynic in me says that he's had nearly a week to come up with a semi plausible explanation for his actions and he's trotting it out for all the world to see, hoping to hold onto power and retain his seat. But that would just be the cynic in me.

SCHOOL PROVIDES ABORTION FOR 15 YEAR OLD
I don't know what to say anymore.
"SEATTLE -- The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.
The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."
When she signed a consent form, Jill figured it meant her 15 year old could go to the Ballard Teen Health Center located inside the high school for an earache, a sports physical, even birth control, but not for help terminating a pregnancy.
"She took a pregnancy test at school at the teen health center," she said. "Nowhere in this paperwork does it mention abortion or facilitating abortion."
Jill says her daughter, a pro-life advocate, was given a pass, put in a taxi and sent off to have an abortion during school hours all without her family knowing.
"We had no idea this was being facilitated on campus," said Jill. "They just told her that if she concealed it from her family, that it would be free of charge and no financial responsibility."
The Seattle School District says it doesn't run the health clinics at high schools. Swedish Medical Center runs the clinic at Ballard High and protects the students' privacy.
T.J. Cosgrove of the King County Health Department, which administers the school-based programs for the health department, says it's always best if parents are involved in their children's health care, but don't always have a say.
"At any age in the state of Washington, an individual can consent to a termination of pregnancy," he said.
But Jill says she not only didn't have a say in her daughter's abortion, but also didn't know about it.
"Makes me feel like my rights were completely stripped away."

THOMAS MORE LAW CENTER FILES SUIT
Funny isn't it, that the bishops in America just can't see this. Sure, they're against abortion, and it does have the first place in any discussion of the health care bill, but what about the rest of these issues? Do they think it's right that the government can steal our property? Do they think it's right that the government can mandate that we must buy a product from a private corporation as a condition of our citizenship? Do they believe the government has the power to override our Constitution, a document created by the people through a free will act, a document that created the very government that now seeks to claim it's preeminence over it? Isn't an all powerful state bent on the redistribution of wealth a Marxist state? Do the teachings of the Popes and the Magisterium have no bearing at all on this subject?
The bishops aren't answering these questions because if they do they will be bound to stand up to this corrupt government and it's leaders. They will be forced to confront Marxism head on which will bring into the open their cooperation, through support of the Democrat party and all of the various "social justice" groups, in bringing this evil to power.
They've been bought and paid for. It will take an act of extreme courage for most to speak the truth because it will cause them great loss.
Pray for the bishops that they will die to themselves and put the Church and the people ahead of ambition and avarice.

"Parallel to the actions of 13 states’ attorneys general, the Thomas More Law Center has filed a lawsuit challenging the health care reform bill. The suit argues that it is unconstitutional to force someone to purchase health care coverage and to force those who object to pay for abortions.
...According to the complaint, filed in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, because of their “deeply held religious beliefs” the plaintiffs object to “being forced by the federal government to contribute in any way to the funding of abortion.” Abortion funding is contrary to their First Amendment rights of conscience and free exercise of religion, the complaint continues.
The lawsuit also charges that the health care reform law imposes unconstitutional government mandates on citizens. It challenges Congress’ authority under the Commerce Clause to pass the law, and claims violations of the Tenth Amendment which reserves power for the states and the people.
“Let’s face it, if Congress has the power to force individuals to purchase health insurance coverage or pay a federal penalty merely because they live in America, then it has the unconstrained power to mandate that every American family buy a General Motors vehicle to help the economy or pay a federal penalty,” Thompson argued.
He commented that Americans agree on the need for reform of health care, but said they do not want reform “by trampling on our Constitution.”
Attorneys general from 13 U.S. states have also filed a lawsuit charging that the Constitution “nowhere authorizes the United States to mandate, either directly or under threat of penalty, that all citizens and legal residents have qualifying health care coverage."

ITALIAN BISHOPS SIGN A DOCUMENT-WHATEVER
All this signing and talk sounds good. Now, I have a question; what will the Italian bishops do when a politician votes for a pro abortion piece of legislation? If America is any indication they will immediately turn their backs and change the subject. There won't be any punishment and no one will say a word. They'll just ring their hands and slink up to this politician, get down on their knees beg for more public funds to support the Church in it's many various enterprises.
But that's just the way it goes in America. Maybe in Italy the Church has a bit more backbone and honor, not to mention fear of the Lord.
I've got to do something about this cynicism.

"After appearing in public on Monday to speak about the necessity of keeping pro-life ideals in mind while voting, the President of the Italian Bishops’ Conference (CEI), Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, signed a document with seven other bishops which detailed several essential values for Italian voters to keep in mind during the upcoming elections.
The most imperative in the upcoming regional elections, the bishops said, is “the right to human life, from the point of conception until natural death.” At the same time, the bishops, headed by Cardinal Bagnasco, also reiterated the importance of upholding policies in favor of "protecting and supporting the family, based on marriage between a man and a woman.”

A TALE OF TWO TRINKETS
Anyone that has read Dante's classic, "The Inferno", has a picture in their mind of the clever torments inflicted upon sinners in all the various levels of Hell. The torments are always directly related to the sin and incredibly clever in their application. I wonder what use he would have found for these pens?
On a shelf in my parents house sits a beer mug. It was removed from a dead German soldier during WWII. The artwork on it is a depiction of people working in the death camps with the slogan "Arbeit Macht Frei" shown above the gates. Like the pen given to Sister Kehaan this mug memorialized this soldiers participation in a Holocaust. Like the Sister he was part of the political machine that had as it's goal and made possible the deaths of millions because they were inconvenient, sick, poor or a thousand other reasons.
I pray for Sister Kehaan and that dead German soldier. Honestly though, I wouldn't want to die with either the pen or the stein and what they both signify attached to my immortal soul.
"Sister Carol Kehaan, President of the Catholic Health Association, has been awarded with one of the 20 pens used by President Barak Obama on Tuesday to sign the health care bill.
...Sister Kehaan, who strongly supported the controversial health care bill despite the opposition of the US Bishops, was joined in receiving presidential pens by some of the most strongly pro-abortion members of the Congress and the Senate: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid; Senator Dick Durbin, majority whip; Max Baucus, chairman of the Finance Committee; Senators Tom Harkin and Christopher Dodd; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer; James Clyburn, majority whip; George Miller, chairman of the Education committee; Henry Waxman, chairman of Energy and Commerce; Sander Levin, chairman of the Ways and Means Committee; John Dingell; and Charles Rangel, former chairman of the Ways and Means Committee."

"THIS IS LIFE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT"
Evil. Pure, unadulterated, undiluted evil.
..."What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

PRO LIFE DEMS THROWN TO THE WOLVES
"House Democratic leaders Thursday abandoned a long struggle to strike a compromise on abortion in their ranks, gambling that they can secure the support for President Barack Obama's sweeping health care legislation with showdown votes looming as early as next week.
In doing so, they are all but counting out a small but potentially decisive group whose views on abortion coverage have become the principal hang-up for Democrats fighting to achieve the biggest change in American health care in generations. Congressional leaders are hoping they can find enough support from other wavering Democrats to pass legislation that only cleared the House by five votes in an earlier incarnation."
Fox News
It's crunch time. The Democrat leadership has just told Rep. Stupak and all the other pro-life Democrats that their concerns don't matter; the leadership will get this passed without them. The fact is, they can't. Huge pressure will be put on the few that stand for the protection of the innocent to put aside their morality and condemn their souls to vote the party line.
So here's the deal. If you live in a district represented by one of these people get on the phone and give them your support. I don't care what party you belong to. If you believe that abortion is murder and that health care will destroy our country support anyone that stands against these evils. And come through with your promise; vote for them this November. Party doesn't matter, only the truth.
If politicians realize that there are direct consequences, good or bad, for their actions they will start to listen to us and not the leadership. GET INVOLVED NOW! Americans must make a stand.

MAYBE HE JUST WANTS TO TALK
Why can't the USCCB just come out with guns blazing? They know that, based on his record, Obama will do whatever he can to make sure abortion is funded in whatever health control plan he can shove down our throats. So why the nice talk, the “perhaps he wants to leave this to further discussion”? My guess is that they don't want to offend their pals in the Democrat Party. My guess is that political power means more than the truth. I could be wrong and often am but, with all of the provable connections between the Bishop's Conference and the DNC what should I think? The USSCB has conflated Catholic teaching with Marxist "social justice" so many times that I can't trust their motives. Political corruption is destroying the moral authority of the American Catholic Church.
"President Barack Obama’s Monday proposal of a revamp of health care legislation drew criticism but also cautious speculation from various pro-life leaders. While some criticized the proposal’s lack of abortion funding restrictions, one commentator from the U.S. bishops’ office suggested the president may want “further discussion” on the issue.
The president did not propose any changes to the Senate health care bill’s restrictions on federal funding for abortions, The Los Angeles Times reports. The bill would require any woman buying a subsidized health plan with abortion services to pay separately for the abortion insurance benefit.
Seeking comment on the president’s proposal, CNA contacted Richard M. Doerflinger of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Secretariat of Pro-life Activities. He responded in an email on Monday.
“We have said that the House bill's position on abortion funding is acceptable and the Senate bill's is not,” Doerflinger told CNA. “The President's proposal, which is really a summary of points rather than a detailed legislative proposal, says he hopes to combine features of the House and Senate bills, but the proposal says nothing about abortion or abortion funding.
“Perhaps he wants to leave this to further discussion.”

HUMANS ARE PERSONS, TOO
"Personhood Mississippi, a citizen-led grassroots organization, submitted over 130,000 signatures late yesterday, becoming the fourth ballot initiative since 1992 to fulfill the requirement of 89,285 voter signatures – 17,857 per Congressional district.
The signatures were collected in order to put a Personhood amendment on the ballot, affirming the personhood rights of all humans.
105,000 of the submitted signatures were certified as valid by 82 different County Circuit Clerks. The abundance of signatures broke the state record for signatures in every other initiative in Mississippi history.
Comprised of all volunteers, Personhood Mississippi laid claim to over 2,000 volunteers and over 1,000 churches."
“Be it Enacted by the People of the State of Mississippi: SECTION 1. Article III of the constitution of the state of Mississippi is hearby amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION TO READ: Section 33. Person defined. As used in this Article III of the state constitution, “The term ‘person’ or ‘persons’ shall include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning or the functional equivalent thereof.” This initiative shall not require any additional revenue for implementation.”
Personhood Mississippi
So this idea of personhood seems rather arcane and removed from your daily concerns, does it? Well, lets see if we can't clear it up a bit. In the Constitution it is the "person" that is referred to as the one that possesses the rights. As an example:
Amendment 5: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury.. (A slave was not extended this right because they lacked personhood)
The Constitution exists to protect the rights of the people from the power of the government because the Founders recognized that all rights pass from God through the people to the government. However, because a dog is not a person he would not possess the inherent natural rights of a human being.
Person:
human, individual —sometimes used in combination especially by those who prefer to avoid man in compounds applicable to both sexes
Merriam Webster
The easiest way to legally exclude a class of beings from the protections possessed by man would be to declare them as something other than human. This is what the Supreme Court did in both the Dred Scott Case and Roe v. Wade. Blacks and babies were declared non human through the denial of their personhood.
"The words "people of the United States" and "citizens" are synonymous terms, and mean the same thing. They both describe the political body who ... form the sovereignty, and who hold the power and conduct the Government through their representatives.... The question before us is, whether the class of persons described in the plea in abatement [people of Aftican ancestry] compose a portion of this people, and are constituent members of this sovereignty? We think they are not, and that they are not included, and were not intended to be included, under the word "citizens" in the Constitution, and can therefore claim none of the rights and privileges which that instrument provides for and secures to citizens of the United States. On the contrary, they were at that time considered as a subordinate and inferior class of beings, who had been subjugated by the dominant race, and, whether emancipated or not, yet remained subject to their authority, and had no rights or privileges but such as those who held the power and the Government might choose to grant them."
Dred Scott Decision
"Justice Harry Blackmun wrote in the majority opinion for Roe v. Wade in 1973, “The appellee and certain amici [pro-lifers] argue that the fetus is a ‘person’ within the language and meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. In support of this, they outline at length and in detail the well-known facts of fetal development. If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment.”
Personhhod USA
Note that it in the Dred Scott decision the Court makes clear that the rights of Africans come from the government, not from God, because they are "a subordinate and inferior class of beings". Africans were not considered human for if they were: "If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment." (Roe V. Wade)
So you see, personhood is THE issue. If a baby in the womb is accorded personhood then it deserves all of the rights and protections granted by God and guaranteed in the Constitution. In this modern age, with all of the medical and scientific data available that makes it abundantly clear just how human the fetus is, the denial of its personhood is barbaric; no less than the enslavement of a people because of their perceived inferiority. Further, the harvest of babies to support the research into disease is even more barbaric than the traffic in human flesh that was the slave trade, for at least the slave retained his life!
What may seem to be a minor issue of wording carries the weight of slavery or freedom, life or death. America's original sin was slavery. We have paid and are still paying the cost of this sin. As a society we have repented, accepted our responsibility and tried to repair the damage. But the wages of this particular sin have been high.
Abortion transcends slavery by a magnitude unimaginable. The price we will pay for it is beyond comprehension. We have killed millions upon millions of innocent children in this country in the name of convenience and narcissism. And we have yet to repent.
As things start to come apart for America and the world remember what we've done. Beg for God's forgiveness and mercy. We work for a wage and when our work is sin our wages are death. America has been working overtime.

RON PAUL-REDUCE ABORTION BY LIMITING POWER OF THE COURT
Just another reason why I'll never vote Republican again. Note that in this interview Paul claims to have attempted to bring this legislation forward when the Republicans, the "party of life" controlled both Houses and the Presidency but "...I couldn’t get people too interested in it". I'm sure that's because it was perceived as something that would rock the boat; maybe make fund raising for re-election a bit more difficult. So more babies died because it wasn't politically expedient to stand up and protect them, or at the very least try to do something.
So, as far as I'm concerned, a pox on both their houses. I'm voting for the Constitution Party wherever I have the chance. I'm tired of being played for a fool and I'm tired of being party to the murder of innocent children because I supported a party that will do nothing to protect them.

"...I don’t think there is anything wrong with trying to move the courts in that direction, but there is a lot faster way of doing that. And that is to restrict or limit the jurisdiction of the abortion issue from the federal courts. And I have a piece of legislation that would do that where if a Roe v. Wade incident came up again like it did in Texas a long time ago, it could not be heard by the federal courts and the state law then would stand.
That law restricting this jurisdiction can be done by a majority vote in the House and the Senate and the President’s signature. I have worked on that, especially when we had the majority as Republicans – but I couldn’t get people too interested in it. I think we could do it quicker.
It isn’t the perfect solution. The argument I hear against it is “oh, all you’re doing is legalizing abortion in the states.” But if you don’t do something like that, you allow the federal government to stand and legalize it for every single state. I see it as an answer and that doesn’t restrain anybody from trying to amend the Constitution, or waiting to change the Supreme Court. But I think many, many abortions would be prevented, just think if we had passed that back in 1975. You know some states may still have abortions, but there would be a lot of states would not have it. We would have to work within our states, and that, of course, is the way the Constitution is written, and that is the reason I pushed it in that direction."

FUN, GAMES AND THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE
"A new webcast series will focus on the fictional stories of three women who face unintended pregnancies. It will allow viewers to choose how the characters’ stories will end for the final episode."
Catholic News Agency
How is this really any different than the crowds in the Roman Coliseum raising or lowering their thumbs to decide the fate of the vanquished gladiator? The shouts of Mitte! or Iugula! will be heard once again, the crowds granted the power of life and death over another innocent human being; a power that should be reserved to God alone.
I realize that these are fictional stories but it kind of reminds me of target shooting. The military and police use human shaped targets far a reason. The military found that by shooting at something shaped like a person soldiers were more likely to pull the trigger when confronted with the real thing. Before the change most soldiers would intentionality miss or not fire at all when they first went into combat. After the change, this problem mostly disappeared.
Shows like this serve the same purpose. They get people accustomed to the idea that they have a choice about whether their baby lives or dies. They learn to pull the trigger.
We should be on our knees begging forgiveness but instead we've turned murdering children into a game show. We deserve the fate we've asked for.
DEAD CHILDREN, CIGARETTES AND CHOICE
"Samantha Burton wanted to leave the hospital. Her doctor strongly disagreed, enough to go to court to keep her there.
She smoked cigarettes during the first six months of her pregnancy and was admitted on a false alarm of premature labor. Her doctor argued she was risking a miscarriage if she didn't quit smoking immediately and stay on bed rest in the hospital, and a judge agreed."
AP News
If Ms. Burton had wanted to leave the hospital to have an abortion do you think there would have been any problem? Of course not. For while she may not have the right to choose to smoke she most definitely has the right to murder her child.
Right, Mr. President?
"Today we recognize the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, which affirms every woman’s fundamental constitutional right to choose whether to have an abortion, as well as each American’s right to privacy from government intrusion. I have, and continue to, support these constitutional rights...
...Today and every day, we must strive to ensure that all women have limitless opportunities to fulfill their dreams."

USCCB GETS PART WAY THERE
"In a nationwide call to Catholics to prevent health care reform from being derailed by the abortion lobby, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has sent bulletin inserts and pulpit announcements to almost 19,000 parishes across the country.
“As long-time advocates of health care reform, the U.S. Catholic bishops continue to make the moral case that genuine health care reform must protect the life, dignity, consciences and health of all, especially the poor and vulnerable,” the insert says. “Health care reform should not advance a pro-abortion agenda in our country.”
As Congress negotiates a final health care bill, the insert encourages Catholics to contact their Senators and Representatives, urging them to keep longstanding restrictions against federal funding of abortion and full conscience protection in the legislation. If these criteria are not met, Catholics are asked to urge Congress to oppose the final bill."

Great start guys! I was going to write something about this and how you are kinda, sorta standing up for the truth. And that it was refreshing in light of the way you normally are willing to sacrifice it as needed to support "social justice". I was going to write about the logical inconsistency of denouncing abortion in the health control bill while refusing to deny communion to those that support it. I thought that I was going to fill the void in topics today until I read Commentarius de Prognosticis and found he had covered it all. So, why reinvent the wheel? Here's an excerpt:
"However, the Bishops in the USCCB must do their part. Every and any Catholic politician who publicly supports abortion, gay marriage, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning or euthanasia must be publicly denied reception of Holy Communion. This condition of abortion provisions in the health care reform bills before Congress exists directly because of the help of Catholic politicians who believe that the infanticide of the unborn is "a woman's right to choose". If the Bishops had properly catechized the Faithful, then this condition would not exist. But the exaltation of the false gospel of social justice and peace at any price above the true Gospel of repentance and conversion is the direct cause of this situation. The abdication to nanny government of our Christian responsibility to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, welcome the alien and care for the sick is the reason why abortion provisions exist in the health care bill."

WE SACRIFICE OUR CHILDREN AND CURSE GOD FOR OUR TRIALS
"International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) recently released its annual performance report for 2008-2009. Despite an economic downturn and a slight decrease in annual income, the abortion industry giant boasts of increased activity across all of its lines of work -- including condom distribution, advocacy and abortion services.
IPPF’s overall income for 2008 was US$119.7 million, down from over $120 million the previous year.
While IPPF's total financial intake dipped, its abortion business boomed. The organization provided almost 428,000 “abortion services” to young people alone, with a staggering 1,134,549 total number of such services – almost double the number from 2007 – across the globe.
Despite an increase in abortion services, IPPF remains unsatisfied with the figure, arguing that "in comparison to other types of services provided by IPPF Member Associations, these figures remain low and indicate that much needs to be done in terms of future investment in this area if IPPF is to meet its objectives of providing women with the choice and right to safe abortion when faced with an unwanted pregnancy."
In the report, IPPF boasts of promoting its abortion agenda among its member associations in traditionally pro-life countries."
Life News
And we wonder why we are being punished. We continue to sacrifice our children just as the pagans of old. Instead of offering up our sufferings and joy to the one, true God, we offer up the lives of our young to the god of convenience. The true God says we will be rewarded, through grace, for the good we do and punished for the bad. The false god says there is no reward or punishment, just selfishness and the worship of the false freedom of living a lie. The worship of self as the prime reason for our existence. We live for our own pleasure, to satisfy our every lust and increase our sense of self worth. We are all gods, worthy of worship and honor. Let nothing stand in our way, especially the fruit of our purest pursuit of the self centered gratification of our most base, animal desires.
We deny the part of the true Gods nature that we posses, the ability to be part of the creation of life. We take this gift from the true God and murder it as a sacramental offering to the god of this earth; and the author of our destruction. We worship at the altar of the father of lies, the author of murder and beg for his blessing. We ask for money and power but never wisdom and understanding, for those are the enemy of the false god, the one that would set on the throne of the Creator.
As we enter this new decade we are going to see signs and wonders, just like those of days long ago. We are entering a dangerous time, one which will require a rebirth in the understanding of our place in the world and our responsibilities. The lies that we have accepted as truth are going to be swept away. The comforts and privileges we have come to expect as little gods will be taken from us. We must learn to accept, with humility and grace, the challenges that are put before us. We must learn that there are consequences to our actions. 15 minutes of fun can create a lifetime of responsibility. We have to accept the responsibility for our actions. We can't just kill it and pretend it didn't happen. We are given crosses to bear, not to bury.
It is only through grace and acceptance that we can survive the coming storm. Spoiled children throw tantrums and destroy when they don't get their way; adults accept and adapt. Our childhood had ended and the time of trial is beginning. Look to the true God and not yourself. Ask for the wisdom and patience you will need. We must all work together, through the grace of God for the coming of the new age.
