"An Icelandic volcano which caused havoc to European aviation after erupting last month is to emit a large new ash cloud after surging back to life, meteorologists said Thursday.
A plume of ash measuring up to seven kilometers (more than four miles) high had been detected at the Eyjafjoll volcano, said a statement from the Icelandic Met Office and Institute of Earth Science.
"The eruption has changed back to an explosive eruption, lava has stopped flowing and most of the magma gets scattered due to explosions in the crater," said the statement in English.
"The ash plume rises high above the crater (4-7 km) and considerable ash fall can be expected in wind direction. No signs of the eruption ending soon."

If my people do not listen (my consecrated priests) all of my people, everywhere, must stand up and demand my most Holy Rosary to be recited in every church and houses of prayers everywhere on this most Holy Land of Ireland. Confession must be made available to everyone who seeks this. Mass must be said after my most Holy Rosary on 11th May 2010. My people must receive the body, blood, soul and divinity of my beloved son Jesus the Christ. This way is God’s way and the only way to save souls.
My child I have told them through you that the foundations of the Church will be rocked. This has since happened worldwide. I have shown you, my child, many times but it is not up to you to make them believe. Your job, my child, is to receive my messages and tell my people. You are doing quite well. You have been given many graces in the past number of weeks. Do not worry my child. You are very much protected by God and all of his Holy Angels.
My child there is great panic among my Church at this time. The panic can be eased very easily with the power of prayer, my most Holy Rosary which must be recited every day for peace among my Church. For peace and reconciliation throughout the world - for conversion. Multitudes will gather at my shrine at Knock on 11th May. I will, my child, make myself known to all who come to me with an open heart.
The Authorities at Knock will hold their heads in shame for what they are doing. My people, God’s people are the Church, solid as a rock. The bishops, priests, cardinals are the foundations which are slowly crumbling and about to fall. They will heed and listen to my messages. My Father will not give them many more chances. God is a merciful and loving God. But he is also a God to be feared.
My child, tell my people that there will be signs in the skies in the heaven above Knock and all over Ireland north and south east and west leading up to the day of my visit on the 11th May 2010.
I will shine like never before. My people will witness me and they will honour me and respect me. So many of my priests have been infested with the snares of the Evil One. They must repent. They must ask God for forgiveness for what they have done and are still doing. They must change. They must seek conversion for themselves and for the whole Church. They must take the thorn out of their eyes before they can see other people’s truth. It is not up to them - my priests - and never has been to judge others. For God the Father, our creator and God of all, will judge. I am not speaking of all my priests, but the many and so, so many that have fallen prey to the Evil One, the Deceiver.
Knock, my child, is one of the most holy and sacred shrines on this planet. Conversion will happen at Knock. For this is also written in my Father’s Book. Please tell my people to pray for Pope Benedict as he is in great need of prayer. My child, many crosses will be seen in the skies all over Ireland in the coming weeks.
New moons that have never been seen before with the naked eye will be seen. It will be a time of great panic. People will and must turn back to God. This will happen as it is written in my father’s book. I will leave you with peace in your heart. Thank you for responding to my call."
"Air passengers are facing further misery as the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud returned, causing Scotland and Ireland to restrict flights.
The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has imposed a no-fly zone over the country between 7am and 1pm.
The decision comes after the Volcanic Ash Advice Centre (VAAC) said a plume of ash is threatening to drift across the country.
It is believed the ash cloud, currently heading towards Donegal in the northwest of Ireland, could move across the country with north-easterly winds.
IAA's chief executive Eamon Brennan said the authority has imposed a no-fly zone and a 60-mile buffer zone, effectively closing Shannon and Dublin airports.
The skies over parts of Scotland have also been closed as a precaution after an increased concentration of volcanic ash was detected in the atmosphere, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.
The ash is forecast to exceed the safe level agreed by the CAA and airlines in the Outer Hebrides."

"Irish spiritual healer Joe Coleman says the Virgin Mary has been back in touch with him and revealed that the volcanic ash cloud currently covering Europe will get worse and is directly related to the second coming of Christ.
Coleman claims that the ash cloud is part of a series of events that will occur before Mary’s next scheduled visit to Knock on May 11 at 2 p.m. local time.
Among the other things due to happen are ‘crosses in the sky’ that will be visible to thousands and “new moons that have never been seen before with the naked eye will be seen.”

They are being given to the world (through me and, possibly, other visionaries) to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ on Earth. The period for preparation will be very short . The messages are not being given to frighten us but to give up ample warning us of the necessity to turn back to our faith in God. People have been given free will and it is up to them whether or not they want to believe in the messages or not."

Air passengers are being warned of further delays tomorrow after warnings that a
"new ash cloud" was spreading towards the UK.
Air traffic control company Nats said the "situation was worsening" in some areas.
But it said Scottish airports should be available from 7am tomorrow and other airspace over England from 1pm, although not including the main London airports.
Flights will resume in the UK tomorrow as the impact of volcanic ash from Iceland eases.
Nats said in a statement tonight: "The volcano eruption in Iceland has strengthened and a new ash cloud is spreading south and east towards the UK.
"This demonstrates the dynamic and rapidly changing conditions in which we are working.
"Latest information from the Met Office shows that the situation is worsening in some areas.

"A senior Western diplomat says several NATO F-16 fighters suffered engine damage after flying through the volcanic ash cloud covering large parts of Europe.
The official declined to provide more details on the military flights, except to say that glasslike deposits were found inside the planes' engines after they patroled over European airspace.
Last week, two Finnish Air Force F-18 fighter-bombers suffered similar damage while flying through the ash plume that has paralyzed air traffic over much of Europe. Both landed safely, but their jet engines will require expensive overhauls.
Volcanic ash tends to stick to a jet engine's interior parts, such as the turbines, where it melts to form a glassy coating. This restricts air flow and heats up the engine, leading to engine failure."

"A number of European carriers have run test flights which they say have identified no problems operating in areas closed by the authories. British Airways said one of its planes encountered "perfect" conditions between Heathrow and Cardiff airport.

Giovanni Bisignani, director-general, the International Air Transport Association, the airlines' trade body was scathing about the European response to the ash cloud.
"This is a European embarrassment and it's a European mess,” he told the BBC Radio 4 Today programme.
“It took five days to organise a conference call with the ministers of transport. Europeans are still using a system that's based on a theoretical model, instead of taking a decision based on facts and risk assessment.
"This decision (to close airspace) has to be based on facts and supported by risk assessment. We need to replace this blanket approach with a practical approach."

Keep this in mind next time you fly. Safety is secondary to profit. They do pretty well most of the time but some carriers in Europe are showing their true colors.
I read something the other, day which of course I can't find right now, that made the case that we are not experiencing volcanic activity at a higher rate than usual according to statistics. Really? I mean, I'll take their word for it because they probably have the numbers to back it up but it sure seems like the eruptions are coming much, much quicker and far more violently than usual, along with the earthquakes. Maybe it's just me.
I wonder if we'll begin to see a cooling effect from all this ash in the air?

The picturesque Gaua volcano, which has erupted 13 times since 1963 and has been exploding and rumbling for several months, is under close watch after a marked rise in activity in recent days.

No food to eat, travel restricted and the air unfit to breathe. All from one volcanic eruption. How long can this go before civil unrest begins to occur? And this is potentially just the beginning if the sister of this volcano erupts.
Because of our interconnectedness the world is facing a moment of real destructive possibility. This could trigger world revolution, just as it helped to trigger the French Revolution 200 years ago. We are so tied together across the globe that hardship in Europe will be felt everywhere. Supply chains will be disrupted along with the flow of capital, each a link in a chain that must stay whole for all it's parts to work.
I don't want to sound like some crazy whack job but let history be your guide. This volcano has a history of causing massive societal disruption in Europe. It doesn't take a genius to understand that things have changed a bit since the last time because of globalization. As goes Europe, to some extent, so goes the world.

All of the crying of late over global warming and man's impact on the environment and look at what one little volcano can do. We are insignificant in terms of our ability to manipulate or damage the environment. It's only our inflated sense of self that allows us to assume such visions of power.
"A volcano erupts in Iceland, and the effects ripple around the globe: A mom in Romania frets about making her son's wedding in Texas. A florist in New York worries shipments won't arrive. Patients awaiting treatment in Nigeria have to wait another week for the doctors.
The fallout from the ash cloud looming over Europe illustrates just how interconnected our world has become.
Thousands of planes fly millions of passengers and tons of cargo each day, providing the economic lifeblood of nations and businesses. The flights deliver products for sale or items as small as a specialized tool that lets a factory keep operating.
The planes also bring medicines to hospitals and food aid to earthquake or hurricane victims. And they bring war and peace. Soldiers are often transported to and from hot spots by air.
Tales of woe and inconvenience span every social level, from the Norweigian prime minister who got stuck in New York and had to govern using his iPad, to ordinary people who saved money for trips of a lifetime, then had to abandon those plans.
The eruption was a single act of nature, but it stopped the world in countless ways."

In terms of destruction, we ain't seen nothing yet. If the rest of this volcano goes our world will be changed for decades to come and in some ways forever.
Almost seems kind of Biblical, doesn't it?
"The last time Eyjafjallajökull blew its top the eruption lasted for two years, spreading smoke and ash over Iceland causing significant damage.
The last time Eyjafjallajökull erupted, it lasted 2 years stretching from 1821-1823. It also erupted in 920 and 1612.
The 1821 eruption spread fluoride across iceland, damaging livestock and human well-being. Glacial flooding also resulted from the eruption.
Eyjafjallajökull's eruption usually precedes an eruption for another Icelandic volcano called Katla, as it did in 1823. Katla's eruptions are usually more violent than Eyjafjallajökul's.
Katla is partially trapped under a glacier and its eruption would create even more flooding problems for Iceland.
The Laki volcano, which erupted in 1783, was the worst in Icelandic history. It killed a quarter of Iceland's residents, created a poisonous plume over Prague, made New Jersey's snowfall its highest ever, and had an impact on one of Egypt's worst droughts.
The Laki volcano is considered a central cause of the French Revolution, as it led to a poor harvest and public unrest in the country."
