"An Icelandic volcano which caused havoc to European aviation after erupting last month is to emit a large new ash cloud after surging back to life, meteorologists said Thursday.
A plume of ash measuring up to seven kilometers (more than four miles) high had been detected at the Eyjafjoll volcano, said a statement from the Icelandic Met Office and Institute of Earth Science.
"The eruption has changed back to an explosive eruption, lava has stopped flowing and most of the magma gets scattered due to explosions in the crater," said the statement in English.
"The ash plume rises high above the crater (4-7 km) and considerable ash fall can be expected in wind direction. No signs of the eruption ending soon."

“Today I will speak of the many changes that are happening worldwide. These changes have been foretold many times but they have not been heeded. Many of my priests still wish to turn a deafening ear. Time has been given to them but, still, they don’t listen.
My child I know this is difficult for you to understand but I have told you I will guide and look after you always. The darkness that covers the sky will intensify greatly. Europe will become even darker. This is now the time of great change which man must go through before the second coming of my beloved son Jesus the Christ. He will come, for it is written in my Father’s Book. (emphasis added)
If my people do not listen (my consecrated priests) all of my people, everywhere, must stand up and demand my most Holy Rosary to be recited in every church and houses of prayers everywhere on this most Holy Land of Ireland. Confession must be made available to everyone who seeks this. Mass must be said after my most Holy Rosary on 11th May 2010. My people must receive the body, blood, soul and divinity of my beloved son Jesus the Christ. This way is God’s way and the only way to save souls.
My child I have told them through you that the foundations of the Church will be rocked. This has since happened worldwide. I have shown you, my child, many times but it is not up to you to make them believe. Your job, my child, is to receive my messages and tell my people. You are doing quite well. You have been given many graces in the past number of weeks. Do not worry my child. You are very much protected by God and all of his Holy Angels.
My child there is great panic among my Church at this time. The panic can be eased very easily with the power of prayer, my most Holy Rosary which must be recited every day for peace among my Church. For peace and reconciliation throughout the world - for conversion. Multitudes will gather at my shrine at Knock on 11th May. I will, my child, make myself known to all who come to me with an open heart.
The Authorities at Knock will hold their heads in shame for what they are doing. My people, God’s people are the Church, solid as a rock. The bishops, priests, cardinals are the foundations which are slowly crumbling and about to fall. They will heed and listen to my messages. My Father will not give them many more chances. God is a merciful and loving God. But he is also a God to be feared.
My child, tell my people that there will be signs in the skies in the heaven above Knock and all over Ireland north and south east and west leading up to the day of my visit on the 11th May 2010.
I will shine like never before. My people will witness me and they will honour me and respect me. So many of my priests have been infested with the snares of the Evil One. They must repent. They must ask God for forgiveness for what they have done and are still doing. They must change. They must seek conversion for themselves and for the whole Church. They must take the thorn out of their eyes before they can see other people’s truth. It is not up to them - my priests - and never has been to judge others. For God the Father, our creator and God of all, will judge. I am not speaking of all my priests, but the many and so, so many that have fallen prey to the Evil One, the Deceiver.
Knock, my child, is one of the most holy and sacred shrines on this planet. Conversion will happen at Knock. For this is also written in my Father’s Book. Please tell my people to pray for Pope Benedict as he is in great need of prayer. My child, many crosses will be seen in the skies all over Ireland in the coming weeks.
New moons that have never been seen before with the naked eye will be seen. It will be a time of great panic. People will and must turn back to God. This will happen as it is written in my father’s book. I will leave you with peace in your heart. Thank you for responding to my call."
