STRANGE DAYS INDEED

The following is from Ioannes at Commentarius de Prognosticis. As he suggests, read the chapter from Ezekiel and then notice the continuity in the verses from Revelation 19. We have entered into the last days as described in the last book of the Bible. May God be with us.

"I encourage each and every reader to spend the 54 minutes and 37 seconds necessary to watch the video "Meltup" that my friend Catawissa Gazetteer has posted at his blogsite. Read and internalize the story of the two whores Oholah and Oholibah in Ezekiel chapter 23. Consider well how we have traded our Bible, our Rosary Beads, indeed, our Church and our Constitution for the easy money of Wall Street and the cheap merchandise of Walmart. Realize the truth of St. John's prophecy in Revelation 6:5-6:

When he broke open the third seal, I heard the third living creature cry out, "Come forward." I looked, and there was a black horse, and its rider held a scale in his hand. I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures. It said, "A ration of wheat costs a day's pay, 6 and three rations of barley cost a day's pay. But do not damage the olive oil or the wine."

Better yet is the prophecy of Revelation 19:7b-19

...[Babylon] said to herself, 'I sit enthroned as queen; I am no widow, and I will never know grief.' Therefore, her plagues will come in one day, pestilence, grief, and famine; she will be consumed by fire. For mighty is the Lord God who judges her." The kings of the earth who had intercourse with her in their wantonness will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her pyre. They will keep their distance for fear of the torment inflicted on her, and they will say: "Alas, alas, great city, Babylon, mighty city. In one hour your judgment has come." The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her, because there will be no more markets for their cargo: their cargo of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; fine linen, purple silk, and scarlet cloth; fragrant wood of every kind, all articles of ivory and all articles of the most expensive wood, bronze, iron, and marble; cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, and frankincense; wine, olive oil, fine flour, and wheat; cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human beings. "The fruit you craved has left you. All your luxury and splendor are gone, never again will one find them." The merchants who deal in these goods, who grew rich from her, will keep their distance for fear of the torment inflicted on her. Weeping and mourning, they cry out: "Alas, alas, great city, wearing fine linen, purple and scarlet, adorned (in) gold, precious stones, and pearls. In one hour this great wealth has been ruined." Every captain of a ship, every traveler at sea, sailors, and seafaring merchants stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her pyre, "What city could compare with the great city?" They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and mourning: "Alas, alas, great city, in which all who had ships at sea grew rich from her wealth. In one hour she has been ruined.

We still have a chance if we repent and convert, for 2nd Chronicle 7:14 says:

...if my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my presence and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and revive their land.

Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand."

  1. I rejected a comment to this post from someone in the Orient. The reason is that there was a porn site attached to it. It seems that every comment I receive from the East has porn attached to it and for this reason I suspect very few comments from that part of the world will see the light of day.

    Why is this?
