I went to the Facebook page of the group that is promoting a revolution in Saudi Arabia on March 20th. I clicked on their info page, which of course is in Arabic. I clicked on the first Arabic link under the "likes and interests" column and was immediately taken to the Facebook page of Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Who would'a thunk it? This is the same guy that spoke at the big rally in Egypt last week and the same guy that prayed to have the strength to allow him to kill Jews from his wheelchair, said Hitler hadn't gone far enough and wants the Muslim countries to arm themselves with nuclear weapons so that they can attack the infidels and the Jews.

Just like all the other revolts underway in the Middle east, if these spread to Saudi Arabia in the end it will be the Islamic militants that end up with the power. These revolts create a vacuum and it will be filled. The fact is that the thing that will fill it is Islam. Government in the Middle East is theocratic by nature, it always has been and it always will. That's what the people, more or less, want.

So get ready for $200 a barrel oil or even more. Realistically, the world economy will collapse long before that point so this is all kind of academic. Beyond a certain price point the price no longer matters because nobody can pay it.

Buckle up. And pray.
