"The Obama administration said on Thursday it will immediately issue a revised ban on deepwater drilling if an appeals court does not allow it to reinstate the six-month moratorium it imposed in the wake of the BP oil spill.
However, it will not impose a new drilling ban if the federal court in New Orleans supports its initial moratorium, an Interior Department official told Reuters."

"Chicago's Board of Alderman has passed what city officials call the toughest handgun ordinance in the United States.
Gunshops would be banned in the city and gun owners would be prohibited from leaving their homes with a handgun. Just last week, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the previous ordinance."

There seems to be a pattern emerging here. The courts rule against a rule or law created by the Progressives and instead of following the court decision they just write a new rule that sidesteps the court and forces the issue back into adjudication. While it's in court, for all intents and purposes, the overruled law is still in effect, even though the law itself has been overturned. This could go on forever, with the rights of the people abridged by unconstitutional infringement upon their liberties.
The law means nothing anymore. We've become a country ruled by dictate. Every day, more and more of the America that I love just simply vanishes. Yet not a shot is fired and no armies invade our shores.
I thought it might be interesting to turn on the way back machine and take a look at some shorts on communism from long ago. Funny; the more things change the more they stay the same. We are facing the same threats inside our own shores today that we faced from abroad 60 years ago.
