An aging hotel in Koreatown is getting a new life as a reefer resort.

The new owners hope to turn it into America's first pot-friendly hotel.

The idea: turn a hotel into 'pot-tel' but now the owner fears it may have all been a pipe dream.

"It's suppose to start at 11 p.m., which like I said is a little late for most pot heads," said John Evangelista, owner of Hotel Normandie.

This isn't exactly the turn out Evangelista had hoped for.

On Tuesday night - on 4-20, he and some business associates had a medical marijuana party – turning the hotel into a 'pot-tel' – in hopes of paying for much needed renovations.

"The ideal thing would be that we would have enough funds to continue the dream of making it into a kind of a pot-friendly hotel," Evangelista said."
