Let's pray this is true. But before we get on our knees, dumb carpenter boy has a question. If the consumption of the last eight years was fueled by access to credit, how can we ever expect to return to the employment levels of 2007? Credit has disappeared. If most people in the working and middle class are buying with cash how can we ever see the reappearance of the consumer driven economy? And if people reign in their spending, what will the manufacturers be building?
Well I suppose that they could be building goods for export. To who? The failing European states? Maybe they're selling to Asia. Only if they can compete with slave labor. If their going to try then expect all of these new jobs to pay far less for much more work.
In other words, I don't believe this article. I suspect that at the core of this optimism is some group of jacked up numbers supplied by the government to convince the begging masses that their country is not about to implode. Propaganda and disinformation is the skill our government excels at.
