NOW THE RNC IS IN THE RIGHT MAKING BUSINESS, TOO

So now, out of thin air, the RNC proposes creating more "rights" designed to protect senior citizens. Here's a thought; follow the Constitution and the real Bill of Rights and get government the hell out of everybody's life.

From GOP.com:

That’s why Republicans are calling for a Seniors’ Health Care Bill Of Rights that will:

1) PROTECT MEDICARE AND NOT CUT IT IN THE NAME OF HEALTH CARE REFORM

2) PROHIBIT GOVERNMENT FROM GETTING BETWEEN SENIORS AND THEIR DOCTORS

3) PROHIBIT EFFORTS TO RATION HEALTH CARE BASED ON AGE

4) PREVENT GOVERNMENT FROM INTERFERING WITH END-OF-LIFE CARE DISCUSSIONS

5) ENSURE SENIORS CAN KEEP THEIR CURRENT COVERAGE

6) PROTECT VETERANS BY PRESERVING TRICARE AND OTHER BENEFIT PROGRAMS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES

Brilliant. The party of smaller government proposes making Medicare not just an entitlement, which we already can't pay for, they want to make it a "right". Isn't one of the MAJOR problems with Obamacare that it is going to make health care a right? Health care is not a right, it is a commodity.

Items 2, 3, 4, and 5 five above propose making protection from government intrusion into seniors health care decisions some sort of "right". Seniors are already protected from this by a real right, the right to privacy, and a government that is not authorized by the Constitution to have any authority regarding personal health care decisions. Why does the RNC feel it necessary to create brand new "rights" when we already have these protections through our God given rights and the US Constitution? Because, just like the Democrat statists, The Republican statists want us beholden to the government for everything. They want to cheapen our real rights and elevate the government privileges to the level that used to be held by the Natural Law.

A pox on both their houses. It's time for the people to stand up and demand that our country return to it's Constitutional roots. Thank God for the Tea Party movement and pray that it continues forward.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These are real rights; they are quickly being taken away.
