FRANKLIN COUNTY MISSOURI TEA PARTY MEETINGS DATES ARE SET

Washington Region Meeting

We have a date and location set for our first regional meeting. Those in the Washington region (Washington, Berger, Warrenton, Marthasville, Hermann, New Haven, Defiance) will meet this Thursday evening at 7:00pm at the home of FCP member Brian Nieves. Brian's address is 350 Country Club Bluffs, Washington, MO. This is an extremely important meeting for anyone who lives in one of the cities listed above. If you have friends or family who live in these areas, please invite them as well, even if they have never attended a meeting or rally. Again, our primary purpose for this meeting is to plan for the Labor Day Tea Party. If you are planning to attend, please send a quick email and let us know how many will be coming with you.

Pacific Region Meeting

The meeting for the Pacific region has also been scheduled. The Pacific region consists of anyone in the following cities: Pacific, Gray Summit, Grover, Labadie, Wildwood, Eureka, Catawissa, Ballwin and Ellisville. The meeting will take place Tuesday, August 11th at 6:00pm at The Great Pacific Coffee Company located at 220 South First Street in Pacific. Again, please send an email with the number of people who will be attending the meeting with you.

99 Corners Project

A nearby St. Louis Tea Partier has started a trend in her neighborhood. Sixty-seven-year-old Janet, the 99 Corners Project organizer, has scheduled a protest "rally" every Saturday from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the intersection of Hwy K & N in St. Charles. This project encourages 99 leaders to identify a location, day, and time for a weekly 1-hour protest at least through the end of September. You can find more information about this on the St. Louis Tea Party's website. I have created a new forum on our website called "99 Corners Project." If you would like to help this venture spread to Franklin County, simply go to the "99 Corners Project" forum and click "Add a New Topic." The topic should detail the area in which you will be protesting (i.e., Hwy 47 & 50). This will be yet another way that we can show our disapproval of the state of our government, as well as let other like-minded citizens in the area know that they are not alone! Once locations and times have been determined, ideas and information can be exchanged within the forum topic regarding signs, parking, etc.

More to come soon!
