MARXIST MANIPULATION ON PARADE

"Thousands of New Jersey high school students walked out of class Tuesday to protest budget cuts, a statewide event organized through text messages and social networking websites.

Students at Rancocas Valley High School in Burlington County left school just before 8 a.m. to show their support for teachers in light of Governor Chris Christie's proposed education cuts in the state budget.

...The NJEA says students are "engaging in civil disobedience" but shouldn't walk out of classes.

Governor Christie's office responded with the following statement: "First, students belong in the classroom, and we hope all efforts were made to curtail student walkouts. It is also our firm hope that the students were motivated by youthful rebellion or spring fever – and not by encouragement from any one-sided view of the current budget crisis in New Jersey. Students would be better served if they were given a full, impartial understanding of the problems that got us here in the first place and why dramatic action was needed."

There is no way that these kids decided to walk out on their own, unless, of course, they saw this as a way to miss a few hours of class. This was organized by the union. Maybe not explicitly but I'd be willing to bet enough was said in the classroom to spark this.

For all the breathless reporting this isn't a story of righteous anger but a story of blatant manipulation of children. These kids don't have a stake in the fight. They don't pay taxes and, truth be told, really don't care how much their teachers earn or have any idea how to relate wages to real life.

Now, what would be a story is if these urchins were told that, to offset the additional taxation necessary to pay the wages and benefits of the union teachers, the kids would have to sacrifice their cell phones, i-pods and video game players, and they agreed. But, the fact of the matter is that if the kids had to foot the bill they'd sing a different tune. If they were faced with a decision like the ones their parents are faced with everyday, and had to balance the bloated salaries of teachers against paying for the necessities of life, this march would have been in favor of the governor's plan.

This is just another example of union and media manipulation of a story to suit a political agenda. It's a shame they are using kids to meet their ends.

The end justifies the means.

TEXAS PADDLING AGAINST THE CURRENT

"Corporal punishment is unlawful in federal prisons, but it's still allowed at schools in some 20 states, including Texas where one town has brought back the paddle, the Washington Post reports. A blue-collar community of 60,000 people, Temple, Texas, banned paddling six years ago only to revive its use in the town's 14 schools last May after a unanimous board vote. Parents supported the measure, and in fact encouraged the school board to reconsider the paddling policy because many Temple parents who paddle their children at home wanted consistent discipline in the classroom.

"We're rural central Texas," Temple's assistant superintendent of administration for schools, John Hancock, told the Post's Michael Birnbaum. "We're very well educated, but still there are those core values. Churches are full on Sundays... this is a tool we'd like in the toolbox for responding to discipline issues." Temple school board president Steve Wright claims that behavior at the town's lone high school has improved dramatically since paddling made its return. Fear of the paddle is as much a disciplinary deterrent as the controlled beating itself, some Temple residents argue."
Mother Jones

The left wing media and blogosphere, along with Fox and Friends this morning, is awash in fear and indignation over the very idea that paddling kids is allowed in Texas schools. I'm thinking all these hand wringing pundits might need to be bent over the desk themselves.

I've been a child that got spanked, a parent that spanked and a grandparent that reserves the possibility of spankings. It's not the spanking that keeps a kid in line, it's the threat. It's the embarrassment of it.

Spanking is like the death penalty. It's a deterrent. Done properly it's all sound and fury with very little pain.

For some kids spanking is the only thing that gets their attention. I know because I was one of them. It doesn't damage anyone's psyche and, truth be told, is far less damaging than pumping the kids full of drugs, lies and distortions the way so many schools do today in their effort to indoctrinate the kids into our brave "New World Order".

disability.

2009 -ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents --and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated.. Johnny's dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario 7:

Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.

1959 - In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.

This should hit every email inbox to show how stupid we have become.

SCHOOL PROVIDES ABORTION FOR 15 YEAR OLD

I don't know what to say anymore.

"SEATTLE -- The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.

The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."

When she signed a consent form, Jill figured it meant her 15 year old could go to the Ballard Teen Health Center located inside the high school for an earache, a sports physical, even birth control, but not for help terminating a pregnancy.

"She took a pregnancy test at school at the teen health center," she said. "Nowhere in this paperwork does it mention abortion or facilitating abortion."

Jill says her daughter, a pro-life advocate, was given a pass, put in a taxi and sent off to have an abortion during school hours all without her family knowing.

"We had no idea this was being facilitated on campus," said Jill. "They just told her that if she concealed it from her family, that it would be free of charge and no financial responsibility."

The Seattle School District says it doesn't run the health clinics at high schools. Swedish Medical Center runs the clinic at Ballard High and protects the students' privacy.

T.J. Cosgrove of the King County Health Department, which administers the school-based programs for the health department, says it's always best if parents are involved in their children's health care, but don't always have a say.

"At any age in the state of Washington, an individual can consent to a termination of pregnancy," he said.

But Jill says she not only didn't have a say in her daughter's abortion, but also didn't know about it.

"Makes me feel like my rights were completely stripped away."

THE PRIEST THAT SAID NO TO THE LESBIANS

This is the website of Father Bill Breslin, the priest at Sacred Heart Parish in Boulder, Colorado: The Heart of the Matter. He is the priest at the heart of the storm surrounding the lesbians that tried to enroll their kids in a Catholic school. His comments on the dispute can be found here. I'm going to post them in their entirety below.

Keep Father in your prayers. I'm sure he is blasted from every direction. Visit his blog and let him know that we're out here; that many of us still believe that the Church and God's law mean something.

Here are his remarks:

"If a child of gay parents comes to our school, and we teach that gay marriage is against the will of God, then the child will think that we are saying their parents are bad. We don't want to put any child in that tough position - nor do we want to put the parents, or the teachers, at odds with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Why would good parents want their children to learn something they don't believe in? It doesn't make sense. There are so many schools in Boulder that see the meaning of sexuality in an entirely different way than the Catholic Church does. Why not send their child there?

The core issue for us Catholics on this question is our freedom and our obligation to teach about marriage and family life as our Faith teaches. If parents see the cultural interpretation of what tolerance has become as more important than the teachings of Jesus, then we become unfaithful to the Lord and we lose the meaning of the beatitude, “Blessed are you when they insult you for My sake, for the Kingdom of Heaven is yours.” Many of Jesus’ teachings were not popular. In fact, He was crucified for His teachings.

Glossing over differences on essential matters, and pretending that crucial issues are irrelevant, is not tolerance.

It is relativism, meaning that nothing is important anymore and everyone can have their own interpretation of what is goodness and truth. This kind of tolerance, which is a decidedly secularist invention, seeks to separate all moral discourse from public life. However, those who embrace this kind of tolerance do not, of course, acknowledge that they are imposing their own moral judgments upon society.

The Catholic Church invests in parish schools so as to assist children in becoming disciples of Christ and to stand as a light shining in the darkness that has rejected Christianity and the truth of being human, including the meaning of human sexuality."

LESBIANS, CATHOLIC SCHOOLS AND KIDS CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE

"Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver weighed-in today on the recent decision to not re-enroll the child of a lesbian couple in a local Catholic school. The archbishop explained, “If parents don’t respect the beliefs of the Church, or live in a manner that openly rejects those beliefs, then partnering with those parents becomes very difficult, if not impossible.”
Catholic News Agency

Why is this so hard to understand? If you engage in activities contrary to Church teaching your kids and you will not be welcome at Catholic schools. These are private institutions and they have the right to pick and choose who they allow in.

If you have beliefs contrary to those of any private organization why should that organization be forced to allow you to participate? Should the Lions Club be forced to accept you as a member if you hate blind kids?

Beyond that, as a parent I wouldn't want to send my kids to a school that is going to teach them not only that the life I live is wrong but that the activities I engage in will condemn my soul. What does this do to the kid? It seems as though these people are using their kids as pawns in some sort of political statement regarding their sexual licentiousness. In some ways one could make the argument that by bringing their kids into this these people are committing a form of child abuse.

You can't tell me they didn't see this coming.

CHILD SUSPENDED FOR DRAWING CRUCIFIX - STATE SPONSORED RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION

The teacher is an idiot along with the principle and anyone else involved with sending this boy home from school. They are obviously overwhelmed with a sense of political correctness mixed with Progressive righteousness.

That being said, what's up with the Dad? Racism? Apparently he is so blinded by the color of his own skin that he can't see the truth. Yes, this is a case of unjust discrimination, but I doubt skin color had much to do with it.

This is much more dangerous because it attempts to influence and proscribe rational, spiritual thought, which is purely a function of the soul. This is an attempt to twist this child's core beliefs into something that his parents obviously don't intend. The school has invaded the sacrosanct parent/child relationship and will be backed by the state in this usurpation of power.

"An 8-year-old boy was sent home from school and ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after he was asked to make a Christmas drawing and came up with what appeared to be a stick figure of Jesus on a cross, the child's father said Tuesday.
Chester Johnson told WBZ-TV that his son made the drawing on Dec. 2 after his second-grade teacher asked children to sketch something that reminded them of the holiday.

Johnson said the teacher became upset when his son said he drew himself on the cross. Johnson, who is black, told WBZ he suspects racism is involved. He said he thinks the school overreacted and wants an apology."
