THREE THINGS ABOUT ISLAM

This is an interesting video with one caveat.

The thing that makes me wonder about the authors understanding of Islam is his misunderstanding of Christianity, particularly Catholicism. We cannot "pick and choose" what part of the Bible to believe, even though many do. Christians believe that the Bible is true, entirely and completely. Further, the Catholic Church teaches that truth cannot contradict truth. This means that there are no contradictions in the Bible, even though there may appear to be on the surface.

We have to reconcile these apparent contradictions to understand the truth. The contradictions exist only in our poor understanding, not in reality.

Because the author of the video misses that basic, yet subtle understanding of Christianity I have to wonder what he's missing regarding subtleties of the Islamic faith.

Regardless, he is substantially correct in the majority of his assertions.

The words bouncing all around does get a bit bothersome, though.

TAILBAN MURDERS MEDICAL PERSONNEL

And yet we're falling all over ourselves to allow the religion of peace to build a mosque at Ground Zero. When will we wake up and stop with the political correctness and admit that we are at war, not with terrorism, but with Islam?

"At least 10 medical personnel, including six Americans, were slain in northern Afghanistan, officials confirmed Saturday.

The Taliban, through one of its spokesmen, claimed responsibility for the killings.

...A spokesman for the Taliban, Zabiullah Mujahid, claimed that the medical team were shot because they ignored an order from the insurgents to stop. Afterwards, he said, they found evidence that the group were American spies and were preaching Christianity. Speaking by cell phone, he said that they had maps showing their bases, and a Bible in Dari. Although I.A.M. is a Christian-supported group, Mr. Frans said, it does not engage in proselytizing."
