FDA: AMERICANS CAN ONLY EAT FOOD APPROVED BY GOVERNMENT

The government controls our banking, healthcare, auto industry, mortgages, communications and now they want to control our food, even going so far as to ban home gardens.

My chickens and I refuse to participate. They'll have to pry my tiller out of my cold, dead hands!

"The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF), an organization whose mission includes “defending the rights and broadening the freedoms of family farms and protecting consumer access to raw milk and nutrient dense foods”, recently filed a lawsuit against the FDA for its ban on interstate sales of raw milk. The suit alleges that such a restriction is a direct violation of the United States Constitution. Nevertheless, the suit led to a surprisingly cold response from the FDA about its views on food freedom (and freedoms in general).

In a dismissal notice issued to the Iowa District Court where the suit was filed, the FDA officially made public its views on health and food freedom. These views will shock you, but they reveal the true evil intent of the FDA and why it is truly a rogue federal agency.

The FDA essentially believes that nobody has the right to choose what to eat or drink. You are only “allowed” to eat or drink what the FDA gives you permission to. There is no inherent right or God-given right to consume any foods from nature without the FDA’s consent.

This is no exaggeration. It’s exactly what the FDA said in its own words."

24 EXPERTS WARN OF 2010 MELTDOWN

Bob Chapman
First 6 months of 2010, Americans will continue to live in the 'unreality'…the period between July and October is when the financial fireworks will begin. The Fed will act unilaterally for its own survival irrespective of any political implications …(source is from insider at FED meetings). In the last quarter of the year we could even see Martial law, which is more likely for the first 6 months of 2011. The FDIC will collapse in September 2010. Commercial real estate is set to implode in 2010. Wall Street believes there is a 100% chance of crash in bond market, especially municipals sometime during 2010. The dollar will be devalued by the end of 2010.

Gerald Celente
Terrorist attacks and the "Crash of 2010". 40% devaluation at first = the greatest depression, worse than the Great Depression.

Igor Panarin
In the summer of 1998, based on classified data about the state of the U.S. economy and society supplied to him by fellow FAPSI analysts, Panarin forecast the probable disintegration of the USA into six parts in 2010 (at the end of June – start of July 2010, as he specified on 10 December 2000

Neithercorps
Have projected that the third and final stage of the economic collapse will begin sometime in 2010. Barring some kind of financial miracle, or the complete dissolution of the Federal Reserve, a snowballing implosion should become visible by the end of this year. The behavior of the Fed, along with that of the IMF seems to suggest that they are preparing for a focused collapse, peaking within weeks or months instead of years, and the most certain fall of the dollar.

July and onward things get very strange. Revolution. Dollar dead by November 2010.

IS IT TIME TO SAY A REQUIEM FOR THE GULF?

"Officials closed the public beach here Friday as thick gobs of oil resembling melted chocolate washed up, a very visible reminder of the blown-out well that has been spewing crude into the Gulf of Mexico for a month.

Up to now, only tar balls and a light sheen had come ashore. But oil was starting to hit the beach at this island resort community in various forms — light sheens, orange-colored splotches and heavier brown sheets — said Chris Roberts, a local official who surveyed the area Friday morning.

"It's difficult to clean up when you haven't stopped the source," said Roberts, a councilman for Jefferson Parish, which stretches from the New Orleans metropolitan area to the coast. "You can scrape it off the beach but it's coming right back."
Fox

I saw a segment on Fox and Friends this morning filmed aboard a fishing boat in the Gulf. It showed thousands of fish at the surface thrashing and gasping for oxygen. The boat owner said he'd never seen anything like it.

The Gulf is dying along with all the marshes that lie along the coast. There is no way to comprehend what this will mean; the variables can't be calculated.

Pray, pray, pray.

IS PROGRESSIVISM DEAD IN THE CHURCH?

"He may not have been thinking about it at the time, but Pope Benedict, in the course of his recent U.S. visit may have dealt a knockout blow to the liberal American Catholicism that has challenged Rome since the early 1960s. He did so by speaking frankly and forcefully of his "deep shame" during his meeting with victims of the Church's sex-abuse scandal. By demonstrating that he "gets" this most visceral of issues, the pontiff may have successfully mollified a good many alienated believers — and in the process, neutralized the last great rallying point for what was once a feisty and optimistic style of progressivism.

But Vatican II meant even more to a generation of devout but restless young people in the U.S. Rather than a course correction, Terrence Tilley, now head of the Fordham University's theology department, wrote recently, his generation perceived "an interruption of history, a divine typhoon that left only the keel and structure of the church unchanged." They discerned in the Council a call to greater church democracy, and an assertion of individual conscience that could stand up to the authority of even the Pope. So, they battled the Vatican's birth-control ban, its rejection of female priests and insistence on celibacy, and its authoritarianism.

...Remarks Tilley, "For a couple of generations, progressivism was an [important] way to be Catholic."

Then he adds, "But I think the end of an era is here."

...the familiar progressives-versus-Vatican paradigm seems almost certain to be undone by a looming demographic tsunami. Almost everyone agrees that the "millennial generation," born in 1980 or later, while sharing liberal views on many issues, has no desire to mount the barricades. Notes Reese, "Younger Catholics don't argue with the bishops; they simply do what they want or shop for another church."
Time

We can only pray that the author is right. For a long time I've said the Church in America is splitting into two separate entities. One side is following the Pope and remaining true to traditional Catholic belief while the other side is following the American Progressive bishops and their call for "social justice".

If what the author says is true it looks as though the Progressives are quickly losing the battle. That doesn't mean all is right in God's Church because most young people are rejecting the teachings of the Church and leaving Catholicism and Christianity by the wayside. This is going to leave a Church here in America greatly reduced in number but far more traditional in its actions and beliefs.

I think that a return to traditional Catholic teachings will, over time, cause the return of many that have left the Church. Unfortunately, the current lack of true teaching is going to cause many to leave and never return, taking their opportunity for salvation with them.

Our young people are so poorly catechized that they can't even make an informed decision about their faith. The Church in America has not done its job over the last 50 years and along with the entire educational system has actively worked alongside Satan to destroy all belief in God. We are facing a lost generation of souls.

If you don't believe me, try having a serious discussion about God with the average 20 something. It's nearly impossible because they are so poorly educated they don't even understand the words necessary to convey the concepts. And, they are incredibly antagonistic towards any perceived threat to their "freedoms". They don't and can't understand the true meaning of rights and responsibilities because they have been purposefully mis-educated. This is not only a problem for the Church but it also presents a serious threat to our Republic.

So I hope the author is right about the death of Progressivism in the Church. However, it'll take generations to repair the damage done.

WOMAN SHOT AFTER THREATENING CENSUS WORKER

"A 67-year-old Yuba City woman was shot and killed by officers when she pointed a shotgun at them and refused to put it down, Yuba City police said Friday.

Victoria Helen Roger-Vasselin was pronounced dead late Thursday at her home at 764 Mariner Loop in an affluent neighborhood on the city's far south side.

An autopsy Friday showed she died of "multiple gunshot wounds," said Sutter County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Brenda Baker.

A neighbor reported hearing five or six shots.

Roger-Vasselin was the sister of the late Thomas E. Mathews, a Yuba County judge and district attorney who died in 2005.

"They shot her dead," Roger-Vasselin's distraught son, Christian Biscotti, said outside the house Friday morning.

...A U.S. Census worker "had been confronted by residents who pointed a firearm at the worker and said they would not answer any questions and closed the door," said police spokeswoman Shawna Pavey.

When two male officers arrived, 51-year-old Lionel Craig Patterson answered the door, armed with a handgun, police said. "As officers were dealing with the male, a female approached the door with a shotgun and ignored officers' orders to release the weapon. As the female advanced on officers, she continued to point the shotgun at officers in a threatening manner and the two officers fired their service weapons, hitting the female," the police report said."
Appeal-Democrat

Things are getting crazier and crazier all the time. Pray for the soul of this woman and for the two officers that were confronted with a potentially deadly threat and made the choice that they did.

I don't know what happened because I wasn't there. I tend to always give the cops the nod in these situations because of their training. That doesn't mean they always make the right decision but at least they have a rational basis for the decision they make; usually.

There is a really important lesson in this story; never, ever pick up a weapon unless you intend to use it. The reason is twofold: those you face will assume you plan to use it and thus are more likely to fire back at you and two, accidents happen. If you point a gun at someone and it discharges, for whatever reason, that person you just shot better have been worth the killing you may have just done.

I'm a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and believe that very few restrictions ought to apply to gun ownership. You have a God given right to defend yourself and that right presupposes the means to enforce it. That being said, you also have a responsibility that comes with that right. You are responsible to understand your weapon and be able to operate it safely. You also have a responsibility to think, very hard and long about how and in what circumstances you intend to use that weapon. You can't wait until your life is in jeopardy and then try to make a decision in a split second.

And, if you find yourself in a situation that demands you raise your weapon in self defense, shoot the damned thing. Don't point it at someone and then try to reason with them. If it was worth raising the weapon it's worth pulling the trigger.

MASS LAYOFFS RISE IN APRIL

"The number of mass layoffs by U.S. employers rose in April led by manufacturers who shed workers even as the economy began to recover.

The Labor Department said the number of mass layoff events -- defined as job cuts involving at least 50 people from a single employer -- increased by 228 to 1,856 as employers shed 200,870 jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis.

The number of mass layoffs in the manufacturing sector totaled 448 resulting in 63,616 initial jobless benefit claims, the department said. That was more than 24,000 higher than the previous month, but well below the 125,000 initial jobless claims in the manufacturing sector a year ago."

Whisper in my ear, one more time, that sweet Siren song of economic recovery. I want to believe, I want to believe.

This story is further evidence of the bleak future facing unemployed Americans and the economy as a whole. If these factories had orders they wouldn't be laying off. Since we can assume the orders aren't there we can further assume that this indicates a strong downside in the rest of the economy. It's that or every last vestige of American manufacturing has been moved offshore to slave economies so that we can get a better price at our local big box discounter.

Either way, no jobs means no money which means that the economic recovery that we keep hearing about isn't going to happen.

And to add further insult to injury the extensions on jobless benefits (socialist redistribution of wealth on parade) will begin to expire in June.

"May 20 Update: Legislation is pending in Congress that would provide an extension of federal extended unemployment benefits which are set to expire June 2. The legislation, which is supposed to be voted on next week, would extend the current unemployment benefits in place through the end of the year.

However, to date, as the legislation does not include a Tier 5 unemployment extension that would provide additional weeks of unemployment to the 99ers - the unemployed workers who have exhausted all unemployment benefits."

There is real and serious pain lurking right over the horizon.

The Mortgage Bankers Association said on Wednesday that during the first quarter, more than 10 percent of homeowners had missed at least one mortgage payment. That's a record high. It is up from 9.5 percent in the fourth quarter of last year and 9.1 percent year-over-year.

How many that are living on jobless benefits will be pushed over the edge when they disappear, adding more foreclosures to the pile of empty houses?

Buckle up and pray, pray, pray.

OBAMA SEEKS A NEW INTERNATIONAL ORDER

Who needs conspiracy theories when everything is out in the open?

"U.S. President Barack Obama told West Point's graduating class Saturday the country must play a leading role in building international alliances.

"The international order we seek is one that can resolve the challenges of our times," Obama said, including countering violent extremism and insurgency, stopping the spread of nuclear weapons and securing nuclear materials, preventing conflict, helping poor countries feed themselves and care for their sick and fighting global warming.

"If we are successful in these tasks, that will lessen conflicts around the world," the president told about 20,000 people at the academy, on the Hudson River north of New York City. "It will be supportive of our efforts by our military to secure our country. We must pursue a strategy of national renewal and global leadership."

OBAMA IS SCARING CHRIS MATTHEWS

This makes you wonder just how nervous the left is about losing their hold on power this fall. And if they're this nervous, what will they do to retain it?

"Chris Matthews has come a long way since the infamous thrill up his leg.

The MSNBC anchor, once so enamored with Barack Obama that he admitted a campaign speech sent a thrill up his leg, has now told Jay Leno that Obama scares him.

"The President scares me," Matthews said of Obama's response to the Gulf oil spill disaster. "He's been acting a little like a Vatican Observer here. When is he actually going to do something? And I worry; I know he doesn't want to take ownership of it. I know politics. He said the minute he says, 'I'm in charge,' he takes the blame, but somebody has to. It's in our interest."
